Pros
I think that Adecco is a good work/life balance environmnet. They do have many associates working for them and they are working on making this experience enjoyable. They also give you an opportunity to work at large companies on temporary assignments.
Cons
They do not offer very good benefits. I think that they should make their assessment process more advanced in order to choose people who are the best fit for the organization.
Advice to Senior Management
I think that Adecco is constantly trying to improve the process within the organization. All it takes is constantly learning and impementing the best practices.
Pros
Nice people, and they can get your foot in the door to somewhere you want to work.
Cons
they aren't very helpful Ask them for any information in regards to getting hired on at the place you're temporarily working at and they never get back to you. You have to figure out everything by yourself if you want to get hired on.
Advice to Senior Management
They are nice people and generally are easy to get a long with. One nice thing is that you can profile jobs before you start them and you aren't just stuck in one job if you don't like it.
Pros
Good opportunities to get your foot in the door. Better compensation and benefits than competitive contract agencies. Opportunities for career development.
Cons
Job security is a big issue. You could lose your job at any time. I've also experiences furloughs where I couldn't come to work for a month or so, so went without pay.
Advice to Senior Management
The company does a good job at putting people into jobs that fit. I appreciated that micro-management was kept at a minimum if you did a good job.
Pros
Worked as a contractor for 5 years with this company. Good pay and good benifits. Always checking in to make sure everything is good.
Cons
Its contracting. Some of the contracting rules/laws and rediculous and need to be changed. Sometimes they try to hard to find a position for you and are constantly sending your resume out.
Advice to Senior Management
Work on the contracting regulations or laws. Seems like they are alays changing and we don't know until it effects us.
Pros
They found me an awesome job that paid really well.
Cons
The benefits were really scarce. I didn't speak to anyone after getting my job except to change my mailing address, which I had to call two or three times about.
Advice to Senior Management
Stay in better contact with your employees.
Pros
Global company, with lots of opportunities. Great senior management with good rapport and communication. Clear expectations set out, which enables employees to perform well.
Cons
Seems to be a lack in staffing, thus some work gets held up and cannot be completed that quickly.
Advice to Senior Management
I think Adecco has handled their leadership well.
Pros
Great technology. Provides you the opportunity to meet very interesting people.
Cons
Hierarchy is so highly regarded, it is clear those at entry level positions are not given a voice. Some time the folks working the front lines have the best solutions.
Advice to Senior Management
Sometimes excellent service is all you need. Meeting the numbers can really be a message that brings morale down. Acknoweldge that some of your field staff needs professional training. For the salaries realize you get what you pay for. If you are dangling a carrot please make sure it is attainable or people will lose interest and faith quickly.
Pros
I enjoy the weekly pay and the skills I'm building right out of college. Adecco seems to place employees into jobs quickly.
Cons
Vague guarantees and promises are given regarding full time opportunities. I was one of the only temps kept at my assignment, and I still don't know what my future with the company will be.
Advice to Senior Management
Provide more concrete job contracts. I would like to know straight up how long my assignment will last.
Pros
atmosphere is perfect!, everyone is very professional, no drama at all...which is really comfortable...plus at holiday time there was a lot of snacks
Cons
no benefits , raise was horrible, other than that there really isnt a bad thing at Nestle...keep in mind this was throufgh a temp agency
Advice to Senior Management
give the temps a lil more credit and let upper management know they wont strick around unless there is something more permanent
Pros
if you are well-placed and under good favor, you can have access to great opportunities.
Cons
It's a staffing company which HR policy doesn't match what they are supposed to be good at. No clear communication towards employee. Annual appraisal is not compulsory only optional and discretionary to your line manager. It is difficult to grow professionally without feedback.
Advice to Senior Management
So short term view. Walk the talk: if you praise diversity, why is there only white males at the executive committee? How many females top executives do you have? no many...
