Pros
Dynamic environment, never a dull moment
Cons
Highly cyclical and too much focus on quarterly financial results
Pros
The management team was great.
Cons
The commission was not very good.
Pros
Great for worker with no working experience
weekly pay
Cons
no benefits or vacation and sick leave
Pros
Autonomy, growth opportunities, people, leadership, growth industry, benefits, competitive compensation.
Cons
Long hours and a great deal of travel. It is a start up division within a larger orgainziation. It's what makes it exciting and overwhelming all at the same time. External pressure buy the buyer to deliver programs for less.
Advice to Senior Management
Don't lose your passion within a larger global corporate structure.
Pros
Good job matching, good client relationships
Cons
Have more opportunities for consultants
Pros
clear career progression
excellent benefits
good working culture
Cons
being so large it is impossible to find right person in back office to speak to!
Pros
Great career promotion prospects
Large international organisation
Cons
Many of the staff are incompetent - particularly at consultant level
Big changes are implemented without consulting with those working at grass roots, resulting in many mistakes
Pros
Global company, the opportunity to head overseas if that suits you. Continual turnover of staff at entry level is both good & bad.
Cons
Regular strategic changes make it difficult to provide consistency to clients. Some of the focus is sometimes too heavily in favour of activity for activity's sake, instead of results and long-term client relationships.
Advice to Senior Management
Figure out whether you're a local, branch focused recruitment model, and have an Adecco sign on every street corner, or build a Major Account Centre operation, and stick with it.
Pros
Quick way to get back in the field. Opportunity to be hired as permanent employee for large Fortune 500 companies.
Cons
Pay is not competative, there arent enough temp to perm positions available. Take atleast 6 months to a year to be hired in by contract company.
Pros
Excellent place for development. Lots of exposure to other organizations, HR knowledge, and different recruitment processes
Cons
Terrible play and a glass ceiling. Hourly employees are not treated very well.
Advice to Senior Management
Become competitive by giving raises that are worthwhile. Develop your workforce internally.
