    Pros

Family friendly company. There is a chance for growth and to work in various departments.

    Cons

The only con I experienced was that they (corporate office) transitioned to Florida.

    Pros

Great colleagues to work with. It was like a family there.

    Cons

So many things are being or will be outsourced. That leaves behind a skeleton crew. Although most of the managers are sympathetic, the senior leaders will let you go without a thought, regardless of what you did for all of the previous years. People that held the place together in tough times were dismissed without a concern in the world.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I guess most companies are the same now, but at some level they need to show SOME loyalty.

    Pros

The best part about working at Adecco was your colleagues, and its a good place to start if you are interested in recruiting.

    Cons

The salary and benefits are below par. There are a lot of office politics - however this seems to be getting better since there was a change in leadership.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Favoritism from uppermanagement creates low morale in the offices

    Pros

No pro's to be spoken of.

    Cons

As a contractor or temporary worker, you will manage them on managing you or their internal processes. I had to call them every week to process my time card. And when I had travel expenses, I had to submit, then call the local office to have them approve before the expenses could move through their system.

I never heard from the local offices unless they wanted to know if there were opportunities to provide additional resources to the client. And heath benefits are terrible!!!! Will never work through this company again. There are other temp/contract companies who actually care about the people they employ - this is not one of them. So unless you are desperate, I would find other avenues or vendors for employment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

As you are currently going through a reorg w/closure of Melville office, better benefits, and live by your company values!

    Pros

Employees are friendly enough, if not the brightest box of bulbs.

    Cons

Don't expect then too back you up when their client treats you badly. They'll "release" you instead of ensuring that a serious situation is addressed in a fair & equitable process. They only care about their revenue & all employees will toe the company line, regardless of the situation.

I worked at Adecco USA full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I worked in the NYC location, and one of the biggest pros was working for Tonya Lain who is an absolutely fantastic VP. She takes the time to get to know everyone, and sits out on the floor with the team, and would treat the team to Thai Friday's as well. Just a great person, and overall leader.

Your PTO starts off at 18 days.

    Friendly team, collaborative environment.

Allow you to take on new projects - good for entry level role, first job out of college.

Fantastic worklife balance. If your hours were 8:30am - 5:30pm, that was what you were working.

    Cons

Computer technology was pretty behind, systems were always slow and a lot of them only worked on Internet Explorer.

Some of the managers were not the nicest to deal with, stressful to work under.

Very much a sales environment, which might be what others are looking for.

Not much room for growth, as their offices just moved to Florida and the main offices still in NY are recruiting only.

    Pros

Nice working environment. Work and life balance. You get to leave on time if you finish you job. Also, there is a very spacious gym in the facility, it is a good outlet for street and maintain your body shape.

    Cons

Too much gossip among management. No everyone is being treated fairly. There is definitely favorism is place. If they don't like you, they will treat you like dirt/scum. Your life will be miserable, like living hell.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Retain good employees and treat everyone equally.

    Pros

It's work that pays a weekly paycheck.

    Cons

They can be cheep and you'll have to fight for a higher rate.
Often less then 40 hours of work per week.
Dead end work, unless you get hired by the company you are freelancing for which seldom happens.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Nothing, brokers of any kind are leeches but they do exist unfortunately.

    Pros

Benefits; supposed career progression--good account connection but job title was a bit misleading. I submitted a résumé hoping to land a sourcing/HR position and was given a retail job. Made it passed the group interview and the application process and was told I will be contacted in a week regarding the position and that this job did not give out rejection letters due to high demand.

    Cons

Getting placed in positions where you maybe overqualified based on education and experienced
