Pros
Job placement manager provided assistance in getting hired on and finding follow-up contract positions
Cons
Pricey health insurance
Contract limitations of the company they placed me at - only allowed to work 1 year at a time and eligible for a total of 2 years
Pros
Reputation as a temp/contract employer
Companies that they work with - best in town
Provide a lunch meeting on site on semi-yearly basis
Cons
Not a lead-in to full-time work
Adecco staff not always knowledgeable about job description/changes to original work described during interview process
Not upfront about possibly for raise or any perks, although asked directly,
Advice to Senior Management
Be more forthcoming with your employees- increases or add ons to benefits do NOT happen, as we described when interviewing and given a salary range that you are able to move up. After 3 years no one in our group has gotten an increase-
Pros
Interviews and approvals were done quickly and orderly.
Cons
Computer and ADP systems set up with the hiring company was not initated appropriately.
Advice to Senior Management
Implement and standard on-boarding process that includes network userID, computer and ADP system set-up
Pros
Quick staffing, friendly, eager to help
Cons
Payment is online, no way to contact Adecco directly, slow with W2s
Advice to Senior Management
Get it together.
Pros
The pay is good if you are in a contract position. There maybe a good chance of getting contract opportunities in future as well.
Cons
they dont have the best benefits package.
Nor do they have a good holiday pay service. It is almost impossible to get paid for time off.
Advice to Senior Management
they need to take better care of their contractors than they currently do. Show more interest that they actually care about their employees as well.
Pros
They were flexible with my hours and stayed in great contact with me whenever I needed any help or had questions.
Cons
Sometimes they only have jobs with seasonal or temporary listings, but still overall great company to work for. It got me on the right track towards my career.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep doing what your doing and I hope for the best in your growth. It was fun working with you
Pros
Benefits are exceptional (health, life, supp life, dental, 401k)
Supported by team and management.
Practical and reasonable.
Better than average Direct Hire comp plans (several to choose from)
Cons
Industry and especially Adecco suffer from local management turnover.
Not known for Direct Hire but rather Temp and temp-hire, so branding and expectations must be overcome from both clients and candidates. In other words, both parties think you are calling about temp or temp-hire opportunities not Direct Hire.
Advice to Senior Management
Adecco Direct Hire survives but never leads or consistently grows. Management must evaluate if Direct Hire will always just be another tool in the tool box or if someday the company will invest, commit and brand itself as a Direct Hire leader in the Industry.
Pros
No company is perfect but Adecco really does want to be as close as possible. The company has exceptional leaders at the very top.
Cons
The compensation at the lower level isn't as competitive as it should be and there is a lot of "personal time" that needs to be given to the job.
Advice to Senior Management
There are more great things about working at Adecco than negative ones! I think there could be even more improvement if the company didn't feel like they needed to hang on to some of the longer-term colleagues just because of their tenure. There are some RVPs who need to get with the times as their antiquated ways are causing turnover. Great job overall though!!
Pros
They get you working fast.
Cons
They could care less if you get paid on time. They will low ball contractors vs other agencies. I worked along side another contractor on a jobsite, and he was making $5 an hour more through his agency, and we where doing the same job. No support.
Advice to Senior Management
Just pay people on time. Give them the time of day when they call about an issue, and not put them on hold and hang up like your company did to me twice. How about getting back to your contractors when they have a question.
Pros
Attentive service and employees to contract
Cons
positions were contract only this would
