    Pros

Free Pizza lunch the first Wednesday of the month. Nice people to work with. Salary was competitive. Flexible work schedule and ability to work from home.

    Cons

Sr. Leadership did not act quickly enough in dealing with resources constraints, especially off-shore resources. Priorities kept changing based on client escalations. Health benefits were costly and not very good.

    Advice to Management

Instead of keeping resources lean so that they could make the company look more profitable before selling, you should have invested more in on-shore resources and stop telling each client they were the most important. Build the "module" before telling everyone that it was built.

    Pros

    It was a new technology

    Cons

Had too many clients considering the small amount of resources available

    Advice to Management

Should not have accepted merger, with false earnings

    Pros

Pay is very competitive. Dress attire is relaxed. Remote work is acceptable. Infrastructure is stable.

    Cons

Number of working hours is arbitrary. Employment is based on constant fear of dismissal. Profane language abuse is tolerated as feedback. There is no sense of team.

    Advice to Management

Get to know all of your people firsthand. Other suggestions may help achieve company goals.

    Pros

Professional environment and knowledgeable coworkers. Freedom to present a solution to a problem and have it earnestly considered. Middle management really looks after it's subordinates, and isn't demeaning when correcting incorrect behaviour. Management does try to work with subordinates to accommodate various situations. Good Wiki style documentation system that allows employees to update information that they come across.

    Cons

Rotating schedule to specific positions, really messes with one's sleep pattern. Not many people can deal with a rotating schedule on a biweekly basis for a long period of time. This leads to frequent turnover. Proprietary technology makes troubleshooting more difficult. Frequent sense of urgency at the end of the month to get specific items done.

    Advice to Management

Change rotating schedule to a set schedule of some sort.

    Pros

    Sadly, none at the moment.

    Cons

About 3 years ago, on wake of rapid growth, number of middle managers appeared. Most of them are soulless and more importantly brainless bureaucrats with no respect for technical staff.

    Advice to Management

Wake up! Your technical staff is core value of your company! You cannot try to save money on them

    Pros

Formidable petite entreprise, le travail à domicile autorise certains avantages, un bon salaire de base avec un peu de motivation pour atteindre les objectifs quand la commission n'était pas équilibrée.

Great small company, work from home allowing for certain advantages, good base salary with little motivation to achieve targets as commission wasn't balanced

    Cons

the company lacked a clear vision and direction, constantly flipping priorities, no work/life balance (fully expected to give your life away). started using bandaids to address problems, promoting people who made the most noise but didn't have the skill sets for the jobs at home.
