Pros
It was a great experience to work with them
Cons
Maybe lack of appreciation for the kind of work put in
Advice to Senior Management
Good
Pros
Immense opportunities for learning and growth because of its size and diversity
Monetary compensation/benefit is okay
Cons
Knowledge and expertize will be treated well only when you are up the hierarchy ladder...its hierarchy crazy Group
Performance appraisal and promotion system is very good on paper but dubious in reality; eg. how somebody has been rated better than you...absolutely not transparent, I have seen a non-performer getting EE while a hardworker ME, Discretion of boss in appraisal is openly abused. Sometimes, reviewers don't bother give their comments in boxex for manager's comment, goal setting is not very clear....
Variable pay policy is simply unjust...you'll lose your variable pay for the year 01-04-2011 - 01-04-2012 if you resign before 31-03-2012. It should ideally be on prorata basis
To survive here one has to be good at managing ego of bosses.... good work will be treated as good if you're in in good book of your bosses....which you cannot ensure by doing good work
Advice to Senior Management
Please learn to respect knowledge and expertize. Treat young professionals with respect and fair/objective appraisal/promotion....as competent people have no problem in finding alternative employment in skill deficit economy....and please change this mean variable pay policy...it will only discourage incompetent people to stay not competent ones
Pros
Good work life balance, If lucky the assignment might be good, company provides flexibility in choosing assignments and across locations
Cons
very unstructured way of working at micro levels. compensation is ok. Bad hiring policies, nepotism promoted. overall just an ok place
Advice to Senior Management
Be more fair in your dealings with individuals, prospective employees, not just on paper but also in person. Would be good in long run.
