Advice to Senior Management

Cons

Advice to Senior Management
Need leadership at India level
Pros
1. Competitive Salary and benefits, but not one of the best.
2. Good work life balance and flexible timings.
3. Friendly colleagues and managers.
4. Free lunch.
5. If you are lucky, you might get very good work.
Cons
1. Promotions and salary hikes are not that good.
2. Many a times, work gets boring.
3. Not much technical growth.
4. No profit sharing or bonuses, you only have the fixed salary.
Overall, Adobe is not a good company to work for as it was 2 years back. Think twice before joining. HR and hiring manager will promise you many things in terms of salary and work. Do not fall for that.
Advice to Senior Management
May be you guys are not aware of, but the people are really really running out of motivational factors. Morale is very very low. You removed profit sharing because of recession, that was ok. Now the recession is over, still no profit sharing. You don't deserve to boast of so much quarterly revenues and profits. If you don't care about us, we don't care about your profits.
Pros
Adobe provides a good work-life balance. The salary and benefits are at good acoording to market standard. Overall good company to work for.
Cons
It becomes difficult to get a job if you are working on Adobe proprietary tools. One should try to be updated with other evergreen technologies in market.
Advice to Senior Management
They should work towards removing internal politics and making the work environment/progress more transparent for the employees/engineers working out there.
Pros
1. Good work.
2. Smart people to work with and you get to learn from them.
Cons
1. Very less opportunity to grow as leader/manager ( for developers and QE)
2. Bad facilities.. A lot of cost cutting is happening tissue papers on toilet , snacks, food
3. Every year last 5 percent is sacked...yes every year...I have been watching this from last 5+ years
4. If you are not in top 15% of company, you get 6-12 % hike ....if you are in top 15% you may get
20-20% + RSU + Shipping bonus... so there is a huge difference between high performer and
normal performer, if you are not a high performer you feel like a labor working on a
construction site.
5.

Pros
Great people, highest concentration of great talent I have seen
Cons
Bangalore gets a raw deal from Noida, in terms of opportunities, recognition and facilities. We are distantly poor cousins to the blessed ones at Noida.
Advice to Senior Management
Incubate & support new products from India!
Pros
Good quality of work
Developer gets to learn from good quality code of great products
Good people
Complete ownership for quite some products from India
Cons
Bad Managers, lot of cost cutting going on currently as a result facilities are poor.
India's Upper management treats the employees as slaves and think they are masters
Very arrogant and nonsensical upper management of India
Salary is not on par with the amount of work expected
Too much workload.
Treats employees as resource and has no good retention policy
People in management frame their own rules and remember managers are all powerful and whoever licks his a** can become high performer.
Advice to Senior Management
They say that employees are their assets but treat them as if they are nuisance. Listen to employee feedback. Do not give managers so much powers, retain good employees and not AH's
Pros
great work-life balance. Good pay.
Cons
Technologically might become weaker as there is not much skillset development
Advice to Senior Management
Instead of investing in obscure products, start innovating.
