    Pros

Adobe has some nice office environments, easy to connect to people formally and informally. The brand is growing to become a bit more than 'the PDF company". The board and very top line management )\(reporting to the CEO) are good.

    Cons

VP level tends to be more political and worried about their own backyard vs supporting the company wide vision. Some groups are strong while others are non-existent. Layoffs each November, you can set your watch to it. Health insurance is a joke, better to use external offerings - cheaper, better coverage can be found by getting a job right down the freeway in SV. This was once a great place to work for ....now it's so-so at best (despite what they say on the website). It's not what you do that gets you noticed, it's who you know. Good ol boy/girl network. Entitlement runs a muck.

    Advice to Management

In November, take the dead wood out of the VP level to infuse a better team oriented and more strategic direction. Reduce the cost of the lofty health insurance. Keep up the vision at the very top level and expect more from your reports.

    Pros

Great place to work. Nice benefits, nice offices, good people at the lower levels. CXO's know what they are doing and provide good company vision.

    Cons

Management at the mid layer doesn't get along. VP's range from great to poor - involved, smart to checked out, slow or do not support employees or provide direction.Insurance is pricy.

    Advice to Management

Clean house more often and reward those who go above an beyond. Lots of dead wood and people in positions that can't meet the minimum at other tech companies.

    Pros

The products are great, the people are great and the work environment is great. There is also good work-life balance amongst the employees.

    Cons

The jobs are mostly for seasoned professionals and there is not much on the job training. Also, it is somewhat difficult to rise within the organization.

    Pros

Good benefits, smart people, good work/life balance lots of interesting technology to work on and generally supportive environment.

    Cons

Too many management changes, seemingly arbitrary org changes. Communication/sharing should be better throughout organization.

    Advice to Management

I would have liked more opportunities for professional growth and work more commensurate with my talents interests and abilities, particularly in my last year or so. I did not feel my potential was being realized.
