    Pros

    Good learning possibilities, customer relationships are interesting and can become solid.

    Cons

    Incredibly understaffed, constant stress to complete tasks that never seem to end. Upper management is stressed as well and relationship between District Leaders and stores is terrible. Constantly reminding you they are the greatest store in the world, however their pay structure is depressing. Team members are under constant stress from work and bad pay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Your structure has fatal flaws that will bring the company down if not resolved immediately. District Leaders are over worked and only chosen for their stiffness or when they are willing to put up with anything. Team members at store level are all but abandoned. It is a very menial environment and they constantly remind you they are the best and biggest, and how they are improving, however they always miss the part about really taking care of its employees. Due to the fact that you need employees with knowledge, the company will soon lose its biggest assets. (its people) and will become another retailer in the dust.

    There are not really any pros. The corporate office is out of touch with the field.

    Scheduling isn't fair. Pay isn't fair.

    Get back to basics. People are your best asset. My DL once told me he'd rather have me on his team vs working for the competition.

    Culture is stagnant, customers are the worst in the world. Every. Single. Customer.

    Co workers and regular customers makes it worth coming in everyday.

    Cons

    The company has too high of goals to the stores that are in low income areas. They said the sales goals adjust when u work different hours when they don't. Its impossible to reach 70 sales in just a couple hours. The district managers only care for them selves. No communication any where. No enough hours and staffing. They would rather have one person in DIY in a high risk area with theft, lose customers because no one there to do free services. They have no problems when employees are late but u can't go over your hours. The company sets ppl up to fail. U don't reach ur goals then u get wrote up. The only way to get wrote up.

    To advance its too hard. Someone has to quit get fired or transfer. They don't give general managers a choice to transfer. Either do it or get fired.

    Ok work life balance. Regular customers were great. Great products.

    Leadership can't make up it's mind on objectives, company values change every year, lack of upper management support, unrealistic goals and horrible communication.

    Take some notes from your competition and learn something on how to run a business.

    Horrible pay. Management sucks. And they try to push you to sell things the customers don't want. Never have a set time off. Horrible pay if I didn't say that before

    Usually only work 40 hours.

    Cons

    Old school way of thinking. Not open to new ideas. People who work are not transparent/ refuse to cross train others on their work priorities are rewarded and seen as vital employees. This lends itself to too much dependence on one person (if this person leaves there would be a knowledge gap that doesn't need to occur). This also contributes hinders new ways to approaching problems.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Don't treat people as replaceable but be sure that more than one person can do every job... things can be learned (usually more easily than one is led to believe!!) Be open to different ideas, old "retailer" thinking will not lead to success!
    Health Benefits are horrendous(horrible coverage) and expensive.. fix this.
