Advanced Disposal is a great company to work for. The hours are a little hard to get used to but the pay isn't bad.

    Cons

I can't think of any cons.

I have been working at Advanced Disposal full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They get part time work for part time pay. Shopping on line at work texting friends and just plain loafing off.

    Cons

The post about a great place to work is the work of a corp kool aid drinker. If the company took a real survey about how employees feel they would understand that this place is like working for a sweatshop. There are posts on here that rate this company bad for a reason and that is it sucks here. If the economy were better than more people would flee this joke of a company. They lying and favoritism here is what this company is all about.. They bring people on board making all kinds of promises and then a few months in and talking to other employees you realize how you have been hoodwinked. Kool aid drinker this is not a great place to work. They don' care about customers here or employees. This is strictly a P&L company that is what they care about. This company is bleeding customers at an alarming rate that is a fact. People work out of fear not respect that is a fact. Management does a lousy job that is a fact. If you hear things in the interview that sound all nice and cheery get up dust yourself off and run like the room is on fire and don't look or come back that is great advice.

    Advice to Management

    None you won't listen anyway.

I worked at Advanced Disposal full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Hours are 8-5 M-F and occasional Saturdays 8-12

    Cons

Poor Communication, Favoritism, No Support, No Sense of Teamwork between different areas (ie: dispatchers and customer service reps), Too much responsibility on CSR's Specifically, Grading system on Calls is severely flawed, No training program, Computer system is hit or miss and difficult to use, Supervisors make you feel bad for turning over escalated calls to them (that's their job...), protocol changes by the week.

    Advice to Management

Upgrade your programs to be more user friendly and integrated. There is no reason a CSR should type in the same info on 4 different screens. Make sure your supervisors are handling escalated calls and not pushing them back to busy CSR's. Train your employees how you want them to answer calls and what protocols are. Stop making your employees do unethical things (like conning people into signing contracts that are rip-offs and scamming people into having automatic recurring contracts).

I have been working at Advanced Disposal full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Over time on a weekly basis, uncapped commission, great hours (8 to 5) with no weekends

    Cons

Work DRAMA....In the past temps were put in that didn't want to work. So you do extra work.

    Advice to Management

Go to better recruiters that will hire higher end employees. Go back to one hour lunches.

    Pros

Great workout and nice paychecks which get better if you can get hired on permanent, then the scale raises start kicking in.

    Cons

You get let go after the season if there isn't any room for you. Not a bad job if you have someone to take care of you and pay your bills but if you don't have that luxury, it's a gamble.

JUST DON'T WORK HERE! TRUST ME!

    Cons

Managers lie to you about pay. Tell you a higher wage then don't give it to you. Put you in unsafe trucks and working conditions. Watch your back, cause a manager may stab it when your not looking.

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to look into this. it's bad bad bad.
