    Pros

    Always something to do. Never bored. Time flies.

    Cons

    There is not $ help for car expense and the gas commute mileage amount increased to 60 miles or 40 min. Each way that really hurts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Need to increase hourly wage to help with the rise of living costs. Use of employee car maintainable costs reimbursement . Plan annual Company picnics or Christmas parties. Show us that we matter to the company and give us something to look forward to.

    Pros

    Ability to grow, true entrepreneurial spirit with razor focus on policies.

    Cons

    No work life balance, personal growth is based on companies focus and immediate supervisor ability to provide guidance. No raises have been given in over three years and bonus have this year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Provide some back up strategy, so managers can enjoy time off. The work life balance does not exist. Great company but one will work even if you are on vacation!

    Pros

    If you enjoy talking with people, pro-active doing your own product research and like to be autonomous in your work, you will find this job okay. Since part time there are no advantages benefits.

    Cons

    ASM schedules only 5-7 days in advance and does not guarentee work/hours. Support materials=misinformation, numerous times=PRODUCT WAS NOT IN THE STORE. Did not provide opportunity to know co-workers, District Manager was not receptive and did not have interpersonal skills to supervise/manage large group.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    COMMUNICATION is lacking=disconnect. No liaison between company and store, so many times no product to promote. EVs were addressed as "TEAM" but I did not know any other EVs. The Event Manuals were not helpful and the "education and selling points" were not effective and minimal. Many times product/procedure information was incorrect. Some of the EVs are just a body, giving samples, and others engage shoppers, and add to shoppers experience, but rewarded on same level, no incentive. Management on all levels non-responsive to email inquiries, and on whole did not acknowledge EVs. Winning!??

    Pros

    Discounts at and with major retailers. Opportunities to demonstrate a variety of products directly to customers. Fun engagement with a span of interesting shoppers. No hard selling required.

    Cons

    Zero training of products. Uniform uncomfortable and didn't fit most employees. Correct product demonstration materials almost never received. Lack of cohesion made customers feel they where being lied too. Hours vary and are only given to seniority.

    Clean house most of your districts are in need of serious re-hauling of structure.

    Pros

    Meeting new customers who, when they return, recognize you. Learning about new products. Learning how creative you can be and using this to help people. Meeting new coworkers and supporting each other, thus building fellowship/friendships.

    Cons

    Management needs serious work. Tasks assigned are sometimes contradictory. You will be told to do one thing by a lead, but then the Supervisor will admonish you for carrying out that task minutes later. People chosen to be management can be dismissive or condescending, and should exhibit more patience needed for their positions. There are also not enough hours, so you might work 1 or 2 days a month, even though you sign on for more. They also like to schedule you without notice.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Please choose people who care about employees, not people who will swat away questions with a bad attitude. We often have to ask each other what to do because we don't feel comfortable with our leaders. More than a few of us actively bypass the Supervisor when possible because we know that asking means maybe a useful answer, or, if one does come, it comes with belittling. This sends a terrible message each time it happens. There also seems to be no clear path to accomplishing some of our tasks, as the rules are never clear and change often. And when an event is scheduled, send the person a text or call them with the change. Please address these issues so that everyone has an easier time and a better experience.

    ASM is focused on career accelerated pathways and mentoring. Great opportunity for those in the ACE and Leadership Development (LDA) programs as well as existing associates at all levels.

    Easy work doing demos the products and store are good so that makes it tolerable for the pay especially if your a student.

    Cons

    The red tape is endless. The trainings are irrelevant. The direct manager depending on stores are racist and use favoritism.
