I have been working at Advantage Sales and Marketing part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Ability to manage your schedule. I work for a startup and I don't accept assignments when I am busy.

    Cons

Low pay. I did this job for seven up in college and made $6/hr. This job job should pay at least $20/hr. Substandard IT systems. Cut admin wage to 10 from 11 because of San Jose minimum wage increase for drvie time from 8 to 10 an hour.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase hourly salaries to 15/hr. I am applying at competitors that pay that much

Former Employee - Retail Sales Merchandiser in San Francisco, CA

I worked at Advantage Sales and Marketing full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Working independently, meeting people, representing quality brands.

    Cons

Low salary, too much work to do in too short a time. Continual pressure to create promotions in groceries. Ridiculous pressure. Other Merchandisers submit false info to stay abreast. It's all about meeting quotas, real or false.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Trying working a RSM job for a day or two. Both client and ASM management far too hands off with unrealistic expectations.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
