    Management change continuously. The expat architects are inexperienced of local context.

    I have been working at Aedas full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Aedas is a large practice with a diversity of projects across a large geographical that helps hem weather the ups & downs of the economy. There is an emphasis on quality design, and additional responsibility as available to those who show initiative.

    Cons

    Due to the large size, some people can get lost or typecast into a specific role or job function. While some may like this others may not.

    There is some dead wood that should be removed

    Cool work and design proposals. Clear company identity and sense of brand.

    Cons

    Little substance, only design no architecture. Building mostly concept design proposals.

    Needs better working hours and clear working terms and conditions with flexible policy.

    Pros

    Relatively good, positive environment for people who can take on responsibility. One can get about doing one's job without a lot of hindrance or suffer from control freaks.

    Cons

    Very much an executive architect environment, delivering other architect's design, design architects will not get too much opportunities.
    Huge factory environment.

    Pros

    big name and big company.
    many clients will know about this firm and think their staff is excellent.
    as in many places of the world, there are good and bad staff

    Cons

    the company is profit oriented and the company is cold in terms of relationship between employer and staff.
    the working attitude is maybe not suitable for hong kong

    I have been working at Aedas

    Pros

    Every employee is self dependant. The liberty to work as per your best of knowledge is what employees look for. Aedas has been very supportive in providing an independant platform and giving a lot of industry exposure to all the employees in India office.

    Cons

    Aedas is not getting much business in India due to its financial policies. Hence Indian market is getting a it difficult to tap. So , business projects are low in India.

    Poor overall level of staff skills,

    Improve method of integration of new staff in teams corresponding their interests, and not only companies needs

    large projects that take too many years to complete seem to be their bread and butter

    mix large scale projects with small scale projects
