Pros
Flexible schedule, its a small company
Cons
No 401k, good work environment
Pros

Cons
good for contractors, bad for perms
Advice to Senior Management
need a vision and better long-term planning
Pros
The management is very friendly & supportive, I'm proud to work for Aeroflex
Cons
Salary could be increased, which will make us happy
Pros
Co-workers are excellent. Very challenging work and almost always something interesting to due. Work with the latest in Aerospace Electronics.
Cons
No upward mobility. Upper management is weak. Little compensation for hard work or overtime work. Poor benefits package for new hires.
Advice to Senior Management
Focus more on technology and less on marketing. Invest in developing new talent and give them the tools they need to complete tasks efficiently.
Pros
Some nice colleagues.
A decent place for independent learning.
Cons
Company feels like it is run as a family business.
Too much recognition focused on the sales and management teams.
Not enough recognition for the technically oriented personnel.'
A lot of politics going on.
Poor remuneration compared to competitors.
Poor tracking of HR related issues.
Advice to Senior Management
Treat your employees fairly and reward them accordingly, pay them what they deserve.
All teams - sales, service, management, engineering, finance are equally important. Promote a better work life balance for everyone, not just managers and supervisors.
Pros
Work with leading RF Technologies.
Cons
Benefits, increments, bonus are not that great. Promotion or career path is not clear
Advice to Senior Management
Need to ensure that there is a clearer career path and benefits / promotions are equal across different departments / team. For e.g when Aeroflex went IPO, no one in my team got any shares... or yet I have heard that employees will be able to participate in shares purchase...
Pros
Good Technology,
Good pay and benefit
Good work depend which team you work
Cons
Lot of politics,
Senior management prefer Service companies from overseas as cheap labour as they think they can dictate and control them easily. In the process they forgot about their own employee and all the business oriented important task will be given to them ( Trained as well ).
This provides little margin for employees to progress and hence get find some job where some where.
Many time you get Junk work unless you are in senior management support lobby.
I am Victim of the above.
Advice to Senior Management
Consider your employee as your wealth and more importantly trust them.Motivated and happy employee bring more productivity.
Pros
Typically they get very sophisticated projects to work on since they're usually more expensive then other companies. As a byproduct, they get the jobs nobody else can do as a sub to major OEM's like Boeing, Lockheed, Northrop, etc.. So the work's interesting and the day fly's by.
Cons
Benefits are not great. They were better but with the downturn in the economy they've even stopped their employee match of 401K contributions. This is typical in that they will take advantage of the employee base when they can and while they'll profess to seek the best talent for a position they'll often choose the less costly hire. Their also currently owned by a private equity group so who knows what direction they'll need to take to satisfy their owners.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop being greedy, invest in your employee's, treat your customer's as a valued asset, share in success and don't be afraid to keep the employee base informed of developments.
Pros
Interesting technology, many capable engineers.
Cons
Very poor senior management.
Poor compensation, few benefits.
Advice to Senior Management
To make money you need dedicated, competent, and willing people. Try putting people at the top of your agenda guys.
Pros
Aeroflex is composed of groups of mid-sized business units. As an engineer, you will get opportunities to contribute significantly to various interesting projects. Management does a good job of providing you with the tools required to do your job.
Cons
Same as everywhere, program are launched with unrealistic schedules & budgets. Once reality sets in, managements response is to tighten the screws and yell louder. Top management is non-technical and does not understand the design / development process.
Advice to Senior Management
When presented with data that doesn’t meet your expectations, look into why instead going off the deep end and yelling louder.
