    Pros

The environment is employee friendly and the employees are tremendous. They are encouraging of "Work at Home" positions, with 20-30 % of the employees doing so by 2014.

    Cons

They outsourced the Pharmacy Benefit Manager division, so pharmacy jobs are very limited at Aetna, but the Medical and Life insurance departments are growing!

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work with listening to the employees and working with them, not against them.

    I worked at Aetna full-time

    Pros

I worked at Aetna for 7 years and found it to be your average corporation cube farm. The pay and benefits were okay, nothing special and most of the employees were about what you expect to find in most large corporations, some good some bad.

    Cons

The size of the office was continually shrinking the entire time I was there. It started out with 2 floors full of people and was down to under one when I left. There wasn't a lot of inter-departmental interaction.

    Advice to Management

Be more open with your employees.
