    Pros

Overall strong strategy and reasonable communication from Upper Management . Strategy directed towards consumerism is sound. Resources directed to ACO areas makes a lot of sense.Work balance is good and encournged to take time off and to grow through . Plenty of training opportunities

    Cons

Continued layoffs and tough to move around. Insure that metrics for how effective middle management is from an innovation and alignment perspective are in place.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Conduct layoffs in waves and try to foster allowing those displaced individuals to post for openings before leaving

    Pros

ample opportunities to work and gain experience, very fast paced, lots of good resources available to employees (internal training, various perks)

    Cons

too aggressive with cost cutting initiatives, management not true to values preached, a bit politically charged and vision frequently changes

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

stay true to values, give more value to leadership (doing the right thing versus doing things right), appreciation should be more sincere

Very good employer for work-at-home employees, for the most part.

    Pros

Pros: The opportunity to work at home in many (but not all) instances, paid time off, daily flexibility

    Cons

Insurance deductible is so high it renders the policy all but useless, unless you get very very ill. Training leaves alot to be desired so people are rarely on the same page and customers get told conflicting information. So many jobs have been outsourced to India, and training for these people is even worse, they make the same claim mistakes over and over which the US employees then have to correct. We also bear the brunt of customer frustration over these errors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Really pay attention to the employee survey results, instead of just giving them lip-service. Make needed changes

    Pros

They have a fabulous cafeteria, very new and modern. The gym is top notch.

    Cons

Constant layoffs. Many managers have no people skills and should not be in management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop pretending to care about quality and excellence. It is a joke. It's all about a race to the bottom line. Just get it over with and outsource the entire operation which seems to be what the top level management wants to do.... Mark Bertolini should move to Arizona.

    Pros

They offer good PTO time, decent insurance, 401K,, very understanding with personal situations, Healthperks, cafeteria with decent pricing and food and various opportunities to comingle with other employees to provide a family atmosphere.

    Cons

Long hours, training is not up to par, some of the salaries are not equal to the abilities of the employee and there are instances of favoritism that should not be so apparent in a job atmosphere.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

With the need for Microsoft programs in just about every aspect of each job, there needs to be more classes that are available to employees to enhance their abilities within their jobs, to include the upper management.

    Pros

i liked what the CEO stood for - in theory - and what the company was supposed to be about (but wasn't).

    Cons

Fellow contractors - especially in Learning & Performance - BEWARE! This turned out to be the most awful experience of my 15 career history! This role was NOTHING like the role that was described during the lengthy interviewing & selection process. Apparently the diva director of L&P has had extensive, previous "issues" with contractors. This "tidbit" of info was only mentioned after being hired, to which I'm thinking, "I've never known there to be so many 'bad' contract developers." Well guess what - there's not, and it WASN'T the contractors.
What was to be a long assignment was very short, and it was filled with passive-aggressive communication, unspecified expectations, a choke-hold of micro-managment, and a twisted invitation to "drink the department kool-aid" - only to find out later that the person offering the drink was the company's version of JIm Jones.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have no advice. These people are not going to change. My advice is to those going in. And that is: DON'T.
