Great company products and programs, no core beliefs in customer service.

Operations Manager (Current Employee)
Stamford, CT

I have been working at Affinion Benefits Group full-time for more than 3 years

ProsThe company provides good compensation plans and provides upward mobility through promotions and new opportunities; mainly due to the large number of layoffs and downsizing.

ConsThere is no job security anywhere within the organization; senior management has no long term plans for growth or stability, they manage one month at a time.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to your key employees, they have the customers and company's best interest at heart.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Do NOT work here

I worked at Affinion Benefits Group full-time

ProsThey have occasional fun employee events

Conslayoffs every year - no loyalty to employees
No sense of direction- management is not organized and everyone tells you to do things differently.
Products offered are questionable when it comes to the law
Office is a witch hunt - watch your back as it seems people are always trying to get others in trouble to make themselves look better
No formal training

Advice to Senior ManagementQuit spending money on beer and alcohol and instead make the company more secure for your employees. Also start acting more professional and quit fighting among yourselves

Good Experience

Database Analyst (Former Employee)
Franklin, TN

I worked at Affinion Benefits Group full-time for more than a year

ProsVacation and time off. Medical was good as well. Pay was average.

ConsVery clickish in many areas. Too many corporate politics. You go out with the boys when they want you to go out with them and you will move up. Lots of layoffs. They tell you they aren't preparing for layoffs, get prepared, that is always a prelude to a layoff.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to everyone on your team. Block out gossip. Stop spending all of your budgets on drinking and partying for the teams. Reward team members monetarily. It will keep the drama out of the departments.

What started as a wonderful experience ended up a huge disappointment

Database Analyst (Current Employee)

I have been working at Affinion Benefits Group

ProsBenefits are good. If you are one of the chosen few in management, you've got it made.

ConsThey make you think you are the greatest thing since sliced bread and then you eventually find out few are ever allowed to stay there. They have frequent layoffs although they will hold meetings and tell people to their faces they are not getting ready to lay anyone off.

This company is run by Conservative Republicans and they make no bones about it.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet rid of the politics. Stop spending so much money on alcohol and lavish business tips. Start rewarding those who have been making you money.

Okay

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Affinion Benefits Group

ProsAffinion as a company is a solid company with good time off plan and benefits.

ConsMy department seems to be the black sheep of the company. Room for growth is limited. Upper management is unreasonable and not very knowledgable. Morale overall is very low in the whole department.

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat all departments the same and do not let management create such low morale in certain departments.

Operations Manager Review

Operations Manager (Current Employee)
Franklin, TN

I have been working at Affinion Benefits Group

ProsThe people seem really nice and the benefits are really great! Company seems to know their market and be extremely successful with that they do.

ConsThere are a lot of inefficiencies and room for improvement of processes. Don't expect this company to be up on technology any time soon.

Advice to Senior ManagementCould be more profitable if they improve processes and illiminate waste. This will definitely be a process over time and not everyone will likely accept this as positve but it likely needed to move company forward.

Not your employer of choice

Contact Center Manager (Current Employee)
Columbus, OH

I have been working at Affinion Benefits Group

ProsVery flexible with time off.

ConsCompensation is below market competitors.
Senior management do not value employees.
There is a fear of losing your job

Advice to Senior ManagementWould encourage them establish a identity with their own core values instead of adapting to all of its clients. They need to value their employees and take stake with them instead of soley focusing on external dollars.
