    Pros

Friendly Staff - There are a lot of young and dynamic people with great ideas who are hard working. Everyone is also very social. People go out for drinks and hang out after hours all the time.

Affinity Career Development - Affinity has improved their employee career development over the last few years. They now have more structured and defined career paths. Part of this is due to amazing amounts of growth the company has enjoyed over the past several years.

Keeps Improving - Affinity has some great and unique products that they've been launching recently. These new products put Affinity at the forefront of their space and give employees a great opportunity to get experience they normally wouldn't.

Excellent Benefits - Vacation policy is unlimited after being here a year, which is unbelievable. Also management is great about encouraging a positive work-life balance. You are able to work from home to take care of personal issues. As long as you are taking care of your work, time off isn't a big deal.

    Cons

Communication - The company needs to focus their communication between departments. Teams are constantly trying to achieve this, but they just haven't found the right fix.

Upgrades - We need to update some of our systems and processes so they can meet the changing demands or our clients and marketplace. There are groups that have been created to tackle these problems, and I hope they'll be successful. They have made some great improvements, I just hope it'll continue.

    Pros

Like my role as an individual contributor.

    Interesting projects. Passionate about them.
    .
Commitment appears to be given to hard, smart working employees.
    .
Opinions and initiative appreciated. Willing to hear contrary opinions and engage in healthy discussions.

Company is successful. Growing revenues and employees.Jonathan Silver, as CEO, has established top management leadership positions with goals to implement the vision, mission and strategy of Affinity Solutions. Have managerial strengths in several key positions including: CFO, EVP of Strategic Client Management, EVP of Business Development,
several executives to implement Retail Sales and a COO responsible for Product and Marketing, Analysis & Strategy and a Chief Technology Officer.

The executives are hard working, really interested in growing the business and care about employees.

    Cons

Encourage more informal communication between departments.

May want to institute informal reviews during the year before the annual performance review.

Work in a sweatshop environment and no leadership in upper management.

    Pros

This will probably be one of the worst companies if not the worst company you will ever work for in your life. So if you can survive working here you can survive at any job.

    Cons

    - There is no leadership in dishonest upper management. The management think that they can rule with fear. They have no interest in personal growth. They simply want provide the best smoke and mirrors to their clients so that a sucker will come along and buy the company. The company is dishonest to their customers and to their employees.

    - There is no work-life balance. Working at AFS is equivalent to working at a sweatshop. They will work you to death and call you at all hours 24/7. Since the upper management has no clue what they are doing, the employees there often has no clue as well. Everything is considered an emergency. You basically will have no life aside from AFS. If you do not stay late or respond to calls in the middle of the night your job will be in jeopardy. There is no compensation for overtime. There were even times when people worked over 24 hours straight which I don't even think is legal.

    - Do not value their employees. There is constantly high turnover at this company because anyone smart will realize that they do not have to put up with the BS in this company. Because of the high turnover there is a lack in process, training and knowledge transfer. Be ready to have everything dumped on you with no direction if you are new because there is no one left to own the work and zero documentation.

    - Will do anything to get client to sign a deal. AFS will tell a client that they have the technology and have been providing the desired service for many years just to try to gain trust and have the client sign. In reality the technology is not in place and they have no knowledge of the desired service. The technology is archaic and code is written on top of bad code which leads to more and more problems. AFS has an affinity for bandaid solutions where one bandaid is slapped on top of another and another. At some point all the bandaids will fall off.

    Pros

None, really. Office culture is entirely nonexistent.

    Cons

Kind of a lousy place all around, no company culture or personality. Has a real Napoleon Complex about who they are: what they do, the size of the company, their stature in the industry. This isn't some innovative tech company or Goldman Sachs -- they make online retail discount coupons (spam, in other words).

    Pros

The people are great. Social atmosphere, casual dress. That's about it.

    Cons

Management doesn't know what they're doing.
Expect to work to death plus more and no additional compensation.
    On-call 24/7.
People do a piece of the work and then wash they're hands free and let their mistakes be the next persons problem.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Ask your employees for feedback.
Pay your employees for their hard work so they don't feel like they're in a sweatshop.
Have new product launches come from more than just product. It affects every piece of the business and when products aren't integrated and don't jive you've now messed up every other part of the business.

I have been working at Affinity Solutions part-time

    Pros

Here are the pros of working at Affinity. After working here for a few months I can definitely say that the bad reviews from the employees who were disgruntled and didn't make an effort to build social capital in this organization.

    - People are fun and approachable to work with
    - Open door policy for most executives
    - You actually get to see the CEO and he is approachable when he isn't busy running around doing his job as he is supposed to.
    - There is opportunity for growth if you put in the time and effort.
    - Snacks and coffee are always available thanks to a few caring individuals.
    - Company events are great for the most part.

    Cons

I can't say it's the most ideal company to work for, because there is definitely room for improvement. Here are the cons.

    - The recent shifts in managements has confused many employees and some are not used to working under different management.
    - There is a high turnover rate. Most people work for a few years to get experience and make the decision to move on. Which isn't necessarily bad.
    - Entry Level salaries are actually really low. Most positions in Operations start at 35-38k unless you are experienced. Can't expect to earn six figures unless you're a VP.
    - Some of the top executives are indeed idiots and stuck up. But most companies have this issue so this isn't new.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think that Jonathan Silver is focusing too much on building value for the firm, at an understaffed organization. There are too many contracts signed that are out of capacity in terms of staff and this will negatively impact the organizations perspective to current and prospective clients. I also think that there should be a formal training program for new hires that aren't familiar with the company at all.
