    Pros

good benefits.. good salary.. new opportunities. every day is a learning curve. well organized team. business not too complicated

    Cons

more execs than needed. management should evaluate the need for too many upper execs on the board to make decisions. it would be nice is micromanagement can be avoided

    Advice to Management

company need to expand to other states as well. remaining just in the bronx area supporting minimum number of plans might be good for short term. but long term, it can lead to issues.

    Pros

Some nice people. Casual dress. Work from home if needed.

    Cons

Unprofessional approach. Department heads are a joke. Management is the woman who really runs things for the owner either screaming or saying she loves everyone. Owner is totally out of touch and lets her go crazy. Earlier reviews are on target. Amateurs.

    Advice to Management

Get up to speed as professionals. Owner should wake up, company is a mess. No followup on anything and nothing ever changes. Most employees are looking to get out unless they are management making bucks to continue the hamster wheel.

    Pros

Affinity was home to a lot of great people. I'm still friends with many of my former co-workers to this day. They tend to hire young (because they're cheap), so it's not hard to make friends. Might be a good opportunity if you are working in IT, account management or marketing. Next to worthless if you are in design. Benefits were good. Growing vacation the longer you stay, sick policy is OK.

    Cons

Antiquated systems, and cheap they come in terms of pay. Good luck if you're looking for respectable pay, because it's going to be like pulling teeth trying to get them to see value you in you monetarily. They tend to think that your experience there is rewarding enough, which may be true, but probably won't be.

    Advice to Management

Two things matter most to employees: respect and salary. Salary, in fact, is a form of respect. When you low-ball everyone, you are already showing them a lack of respect for the person they are and the value they can bring your company. Perhaps you don't need to be spending six figures on dozens of redundant senior management positions, and instead you could allocate that money to your actual workers who put in the real work and time?

    Advice to Management

Work harder to give constructive feedback to your employees so that they can improve. Handle issues with local merchants to improve company status.

    Pros

There are some kind people here. Those that will go the extra mile to mentor you and assist you. These are the people you can build not only a work relationship with but also a friendship.

    Cons

-Low balls you on salary -People throw you under the bus -not everyone is on the same page

    Advice to Management

Direct management is great. Most the managers here are good people. As for senior management... Pay your employees a fair wage. As a client-facing operation, you'd think that they'd have enough sense to incentivize employees who directly communication with merchants or business partners. Lastly, if you are unable to give raises out for one reason or another, be completely transparent and straightforward with your employees. Don't host a lame employee appreciation day in which the highlight is free samples of skinnygirl popcorn or some crap. I never attended any lunches with the CEO because of conflicts with my schedule. Luckily for him I didn't. I would have told him everything that is wrong with his business from the poisonous people he hires to the lack of direction he has for this company (which explains the high turnover rate). Lastly, sexual harassment is a crime and should be dealt with swiftly and appropriately. It is not to be "swept under the rug". For those of your who are reading this and are curious as to why I brought up sexual harassment, interview for a position there and find out..

    Pros

Friendly Staff - There are a lot of young and dynamic people with great ideas who are hard working. Everyone is also very social. People go out for drinks and hang out after hours all the time. Affinity Career Development - Affinity has improved their employee career development over the last few years. They now have more structured and defined career paths. Part of this is due to amazing amounts of growth the company has enjoyed over the past several years. Keeps Improving - Affinity has some great and unique products that they've been launching recently. These new products put Affinity at the forefront of their space and give employees a great opportunity to get experience they normally wouldn't. Excellent Benefits - Vacation policy is unlimited after being here a year, which is unbelievable. Also management is great about encouraging a positive work-life balance. You are able to work from home to take care of personal issues. As long as you are taking care of your work, time off isn't a big deal.

    Cons

Communication - The company needs to focus their communication between departments. Teams are constantly trying to achieve this, but they just haven't found the right fix. Upgrades - We need to update some of our systems and processes so they can meet the changing demands or our clients and marketplace. There are groups that have been created to tackle these problems, and I hope they'll be successful. They have made some great improvements, I just hope it'll continue.

Like my role as an individual contributor. Interesting projects. Passionate about them. . Commitment appears to be given to hard, smart working employees. . Opinions and initiative appreciated. Willing to hear contrary opinions and engage in healthy discussions. Company is successful. Growing revenues and employees.Jonathan Silver, as CEO, has established top management leadership positions with goals to implement the vision, mission and strategy of Affinity Solutions. Have managerial strengths in several key positions including: CFO, EVP of Strategic Client Management, EVP of Business Development, several executives to implement Retail Sales and a COO responsible for Product and Marketing, Analysis & Strategy and a Chief Technology Officer. The executives are hard working, really interested in growing the business and care about employees.

    Cons

Encourage more informal communication between departments. May want to institute informal reviews during the year before the annual performance review.

    Pros

    - Unlimited vacation after you've been there a year - Lots of laughs while you watch a business collapse in on itself - A great reason to drink every day

    Cons

    - Absolutely no morale - Everyone is terrified of being fired - There's a revolving door of people quitting or being fired - Nobody takes responsibility for their actions and will gladly throw you under the bus to save their own skin - Nothing works. Ever. And yet they take on new projects with bigger clients. It's like pouring gasoline on a fire. Actually that might be the one thing that could save this company.

    Advice to Management

The CEO needs to develop a backbone and be a leader. Maybe make an effort to get to know your employees and find out what they need to better perform at their jobs. Maybe build up the courage to fire the guy who sexually harassed all the women at the office party. Maybe tell your insane henchwoman to cool her jets and stop firing people who get in the way of her quest for power. The biggest problem with Affinity is that everyone who works there is miserable, angry, bitter, and depressed. The negativity only breeds more negativity. It's just a cesspool of frustration that is incredibly unhealthy both mentally and physically. The execs and senior management all act like they have one foot out the door, ready to sell the company and retire to some tropical island.

    Pros

-Casual Dress -Unlimited Vaca Days after 1 year (approval from manager required) -Free water and pens for all employees

    Cons

    - Absolutely horrible management and executives, minus one good guy. - Unorganized and unfocused employees who lack training and at times common sense. - Terrible technology...Absolutely everything breaks down always. - Blame gets passed around like a hot potato. - Endless meetings - Employees come and go constantly because they realize they are either to smart to stay on a sinking ship. - Salaries are a joke. - No path for growth unless you are connected to the hip of a certain executive overlord. - No bonus and getting a deserved raise for hard work is like jumping the White House fence and getting in the building (one guy did it) <- unless you are upper management.

    Advice to Management

The company and management needs to step up and overhaul the technologies of this company if they are ever going to try and succeed. They can barley execute an email marketing campaign without major flaws and clients are beginning to notice that they might of stepped into amateur hour. The CEO is a smart guy, but not able to realize that the "strategic hires" that he made in the "leadership team" have pushed many good employees out of the door. Certain exec is nuts, cursing and yelling like a sailor - works 16 hour days and expects her minions to do the same. In fact the only reason to work these types of hours in this company is to fix all of the mistakes made for clients week after week. Employee morale is minimal, communication across teams is poor. The company outings are a good time though - except that one time when one exec sexually harassed a number of employees. The CEO made sure to properly reprimand him by making him put away alcohol bottles that were in his office and apologize via email. Classy.
