I worked at AffordableTours.com
Pros – Great travel opportunities, family owned. Base salary of $1000 plus commission sales. Better than VTG.com for sure. I made more money at AffordableTours.com than I ever made at VacationsToGo.com, but I am not sure that is stll true.
Cons – I started at a higher commission bracket of 30 % and ended at 25%, plus the economic downturn took a hard hit on my salary and made it unsustainable for me to travel from Spring to Stafford everyday. I made more money the first two years then made increasingly less and less as years went by which lead into dissatisfaction.
Advice to Senior Management – A bonus of $1000 for 5 years of service is not enough, an increase of commission percentage is what I would have liked.

Pros – Good pay in relation to to other similar companies where I have worked before. Management cares about employees and that is rare nowadays. The company is family owned and it is easy to have access to management. Good friendly atmosphere.
Cons – Not much advancement opportunity for us.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the good work. You guys are one of the best places I've ever worked. Maybe think of adding more restrooms? Thanks for everything else.

Pros – This is a family owned company, and the owners treat their employees right. We sell a fun product (vacation packages), and our compensation is well above the industry average.
Cons – There is not much room for career growth.

I worked at AffordableTours.com
Pros – Affordable Tours was enjoyable to work at because it is laid back and not micromanaged. Also it was nice having two computer screens. The company is family owned, and they actually care about their employees.
Cons – The commission structure at Affordable Tours is not the best... Unless you are a star, it is hard to make enough to pay the bills. Also the benefits suck.
Advice to Senior Management – It would benefit you guys if you actually had an adequate training program and a dedicated trainer. The current training does not prepare the new workers and it leads to turnover.

Pros – I enjoy working here because of the family atmosphere and because you feel as if you matter to the company and you feel wanted. Management doest make it a class system we all feel equal.
Cons – There is no upward mobility no opportunity to be promoted inside the company. But that isn't something that is expected.
Advice to Senior Management – Stay the same keep up the good work. And I really appreciate the way you handle this company and how well it is run.
