    Pros

    Good benefits, nice central location. Free drinks and on site sundries shop a plus. Up to date facility.

    Cons

    Management needs improvement, some are only concerned with their favorites while others fall by the wayside, not the family environment they talked about. Dissatisfied employees in several departments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pay attention to all your employees, get some managers that are less biased and want to see all employees prosper not just a select few. Get past the "good ol girl/boy" mentality and get some fresh faces in management.

    Pros

    In the past it was a great company, but not anymore. There are still plenty of nice and very professional people. However, the environment and culture is rapidly deteriorating.

    Cons

    Wrong values: only the favorites are getting promotions and promotions are not merit-based. Your hard work will not be noticed and appreciated. Many employees are unhappy, leaving or looking for other opportunities.

    Pros

    Free soft drinks. Downtown location.

    Cons

    No relationship between management and employees. Expectation that employees are never "off the clock", especially those in IT. A senior management group that is never seen outside of its private floor. Low cubicle walls and glass walled conference rooms mean there is absolutely no privacy. Tremendous pay gap between top management and employees. Board members that are both stupid and uncaring and subject to the whims of one or two loud mouths. An incompetent regulator that doesn't know its a#s from a hole in the ground.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Complete change to top management team. New management must live up to promises made to employees. Do something to reduce the incredible workload placed on employees and don't treat them like combustible material.

    Pros

    Good Benefits. The 401K Matching and Retirement benefits are pretty good.

    Cons

    Most everyone have very long working days and the pay is a joke. 50 to 80 hour / 6 to 7 day work weeks are normal and somewhat expected. There is no idea of downtime. Managers expect you to be available 24/7. The salaries are pathetic. HR touts that they are competitive, but they are not. On the whole you can expect to top out around 60K to 70K for most any position. The CEO and CFO changed the atmosphere from a family to a sweatshop. The C-levels are more concerned with profit and bottom lines than employees and their families. We are no longer names; we are now faceless, beaten numbers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Mangers should better communicate to their employees. Employees are left completely in the dark about projects, upcoming events, and lack of resources. Often management will wait until the last minute to inform employees of upcoming deadlines. As a result employees often have to cancel personal vacations and time with families in order to keep their jobs.

    Pros

    Laid back atmosphere with very nice people. Office location is great and they are very flexible with interns during both the summer and school year.

    Cons

    Despite how nice everyone is, there is little networking or communication among others that are not in your department.

    Pros

    Employees care about their jobs and each other. Definitely a "family" atmosphere. Pay is competitive and benefits are great. Business is well-managed and should consider to prosper.

    Cons

    Communication between departments can be poor at times. Some recent changes to senior management may turn out to be bad decisions.

    Avoid "silos" as the company continues to grow.

    Pros

    Good pay and in general a good culture where senior management shows genuine concern for and support for their employees. Company is very stable as well.

    Cons

    Some managers show extreme favoritism, while others show zero interest in the development of their employees. Long-standing social 'niches' make it very difficult for new employees and especially contractors to feel included.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Re-evaluate those in middle-management positions. Have a few employees held their positions for years while newbie's/contractors tend to come-and-go like a revolving door? Then you have a favortism issue. It's not difficult to spot, but only if you know to look.
