I worked at Agency RX as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Great staff packed with fun and interesting people. Nice office space, good culture, steady work.

    Cons

Mediocre or invisible leadership on many levels of the hierarchy. Weak agency process, at times the chaos seems almost expected. Work is largely cookie-cutter pharma, interesting projects are the exception not the rule.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a close look at process and overhaul as needed. Stronger leadership is needed on many fronts though there is a lot of talent who do great work.

I have been working at Agency RX as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Very efficient job routing process due to easy digital workflow - one of the most organized I've seen. While workload can be heavy at times, creatives are talented and fun to work with, as are rest of team. People are friendly and there is always the opportunity to work on different brands and multiple interesting projects which is refreshing.

    Cons

Account could manage client expectations better. Timelines are less than ideal - there is often a lot of crunching at the end.

I have been working at Agency RX full-time

    Pros

Nice space. Free bagels on Friday.

    Cons

Moreso than any other agency I've worked at, AgencyRx has not quite figured out the basics; who is responsible for what. It is a poorly managed agency from the top, and then that lack of leadership creates needless misery on account teams. This results in high employee turn-over.

AgencyRx is a particularly bad agency to start a career at, as you will learn bad habits.

The digital department, which unfortunately touches every account, is incompetent, aren't team players, show contempt for agency process; loves working without creative briefs.

Beware of incompetent project management, particularly digital project management. No timelines. Management is aware of the problem, refuses to fix it. Morale, quality of work, and quality of life suffer accordingly.

Most of these issues could be fixed easily, but the crux of the issue is weak leadership and a lack of accountability at the top.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn the basics of running an agency, and then maybe you will see less employee turn-over.

I worked at Agency RX as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Nice lobby. If you're a print creative you may like this place, but if you're digital read further.

    Cons

Very poor organization, grossly understaffed, no work/life balance. Poor compensation (you get what you pay for). This place could rock, but it doesn't. If you're a digital creative, skip this place, look at one of their sister agencies. If you're print, you may like it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There's an opportunity to do some good work, but if you continue with poor communications between management, treating employees like sweat shop laborers, and poor project management, you're doomed to fail. It's a pity.

    I worked at Agency RX

    Pros

-Coworkers are a blast to be around, great work atmosphere with young people
-Opportunity to gain a lot of responsibility in the right position

    Cons

-Little recognition for a job well done
-Low pay compared with similar ad agencies
-Promotions are more subjective (based on your ability to get certain people to like you)
-Work in the TSM role is very administrative, limited learning potential

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

-Account Coordination management needs to recognize and reward their employees better...The department needs to be reworked quite a bit. Employees are spread too thin.
