Pros
Great co workers who work very well together and have a great support structure in an environment that generally keeps its departments compartmentalized.

Upper management really jumps the gun in allowing unfinished products into the market. This creates major issues with customer deployment.
Advice to Senior Management
Make so me changes to the way your managers work with clients and employees. They really need to have a shakeup from the to down.

Upside in Healthcare is tremendous and their is lots of room for growth in the sector. I like the people as well.

US operation is very weak. They need to restructure their sales organization to better fit the market and how they want to approach it.

Get rid of the upper middle layer that produces little and expects much. This is dragging down the company tremendously.
Pros
Agfa HealthCare is a dynamic and challenging environment to work in. There are many committed employees at every level of the organization.
Cons
Remote senior management team based in Europe poses some challenges. Not unlike other organizations in the current economy, constantly have to make do with fewer resources was difficult.
Advice to Senior Management
Place more emphasis on retaining good employees. Find additional ways to be more responsive to both employees and Agfa customers.
Pros
AGFA is a very organized company regarding tracking and managing resources in a top/down fashion. The amount of cutting and re-organizing they finally did post merger was just crazy. So many higher up management personnel were rotated in and out that you had to be sure they could figure out what to do with this business that they had acquired and could grow or get rid of.
Cons
The cutting of pay and benefits was hard. So many people left after the first round of cuts that there was massive talent loss.
Advice to Senior Management
The people at the Westerly location are good people and they know what they are doing. Stop sending managers who don't know what they are doing.

The Tech Support Dep't had some very knowledgeable and skilled people who were very helpful and supportive of the customer and the field engineer alike.

Due to recent personnel cutbacks combined with aggressive installation projects there were simply not enough field support engineers to support the customer base.
