Former Employee – worked at Agilent Technologies full-time for more than a year
Pros – Agilent Technologies is a large company that offers a lot of benefits to its employees including stock options, great healthcare package, and bonuses.
Cons – A lot of processes at Agilent are not efficient and need to be improved but the existing infrastructure makes it difficult for change to be propagated. Also the fact that it's split into 2 divisions creates unique challenges from a reporting perspective.
Advice to Senior Management – Take time to get to know your employees.

Current Employee – been working at Agilent Technologies full-time for more than a year
Pros – Great people & great work environment!
Stimulating and challenging projects.
Good work-life balance
Cons – I'm not sure I see upward mobility here (lots of mid level managers and they are all young).
Also, it is difficult to become a top performer unless you are working on the hottest, high impact projects; other projects receive little attention.

Pros – Slow pace, you can relax a lot if you're a software engineer.
You can have great work & life balance.
Cons – So many people are older than you.
Do not be ambitious. It will not fit the culture.
If you stay there for too long time, you cannot move to any other good places.
Advice to Senior Management – There so many good talents wasted here.

Current Employee – been working at Agilent Technologies full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Agilent has incredibly smart people, with high integrity. The company usually demands accountability and lets most employees with autonomy. Lots of ways to contribute and innovate.
Cons – Each department has it's own culture and practices are not always consistent. I've had 10 different senior managers since I started and each one had their own priorities for ruling their empire.
Advice to Senior Management – Stand up for your strong employees and hold the weak employees accountable for their bad behavior. Sometimes bad behavior is overlooked in order to keep the peace.

Former Employee – worked at Agilent Technologies as an intern for less than a year
Pros – One of the best internships around. Everybody was good hearted and treated the interns as part of the team. They invested a lot of time and money in us. I was matched up with fabulous managers/mentors that made efforts to reach out. Overall, a topnotch company.
Cons – Tech companies have high volatility which can be dangerous during economic cycles
