Pros – Free coffee
Lots of parking spaces in the parking lot. Layoffs do have a benefit
Cons – Many project cancellations.
No innovation, just add some lipstick to the pig products and call it something new
Management created an atmosphere where people no longer cooperated with each other.
Advice to Senior Management – Please retire and get some people with an innovative streak in place.

Cons – Less opportunity to advance and career growth. not open management
Advice to Senior Management – Less politics and Be open for talent mapping to move around internally in the company.

Pros – Merit based compensation. Competitive benefits.
Cons – No support for professional development. Leaders build empires and compete with one another making very difficult for employees to advance or move between functions.
Advice to Senior Management – Stop building silos. Leadership is pitted against one another resulting in competition at an unhealthy level. Managers build empires and everyone loses - employees, customers and shareholders.

Pros – Broad tecnology available accross company
Some good market leading genomics products
Agilent labs has good scientist doing interesting work
Good benefits
Cons – Genomics division is a toxic work environment with high turnover rate
Antiquated IT systems require too much time to accomplish simple tasks
Advice to Senior Management – 1. Remove Genomics General Manager to improve employee morale and restore productivity
2. Modify quarterly/semi-annual management survey to ask questions that actually assess managers' effectiveness and employee's engagement.

Pros – Good people and talent there. Lots of resource both hardware and software readily available. Everybody work hard with long hours spent at work is a plus. I don't have to wait for people to show up tomorrow because they left the office at 4 pm.
Cons – It was a good company to work with. When it still has HP open door policy. But it turned into outsourcing company
Advice to Senior Management – Stop shipping technical work to oversea. You need the top mind and talent here in the US to continue Agilent inovation

Current Employee – been working at Agilent Technologies
Pros – Some Team do have some great leadership. Where ever the employee reports to a foreigner manager that is where he is lucky and for him it is a place to have fun
Cons – Some Teams do not have great leadership. An employee reporting to a local indian manager would not be very lucky irrespective of all benefits and promotions - there is a great difference in the experience of Manager in Agilent India and as compare to their foreign counterparts.
Advice to Senior Management – Development of the leadership to at least bring all to a uniform level of leadership style and skill so that different teams should not have different opinions about the company.

Advice to Senior Management – Understand what individual is doing day to day and evaluate individual's performance based on that.
