    Compromise less than zero

    Trade Compliance (Current Employee)

ProsBig worldwide company with big project incomes

ConsIt keeps reducing its staff constantly and never invests in hiring new professionals; my personal experience is being a subcontractor for the past 2 years. Its main goal is to reduce costs at the maximum, therefore even subcontractor companies are changed regularly, what impacts in the normal functioning of our day to day work.

Advice to Senior ManagementSometimes lowering costs is not the main objective to be bigger...

    Agilent Russia

    Marketing Manager (Former Employee)
    Moscow (Russia)

ProsStart up for Marketing in Russia for CAG Group

ConsComplete disappointment. No support and no understanding from local management how to do marketing in Russia. No concept and no idea. Additionally - abuse from management, putting people on the stress. No respect from Moscow CAG to the WAD Marketing Organiazation

Advice to Senior ManagementAfter acquisition of Varian an Agilent manager from Western Europe was needed to place in Moscow to set up and processes and understand situation in Russia and CIS. As Varian people unfortunatelly are not professional to be put on a high rank to do the job.

    Many Changes

    Paralegal (Former Employee)
    Santa Clara, CA

ProsGood work environment when I worked there, by that I mean the physical environment.

ConsMany lay-offs and shrinkage in the legal department and elsewhere in the company; inflexible access to executives, almost a sanctuary environment, needed general counsel, hard to find or talk to.

Advice to Senior Managementnot sure where you are now; it was a great place but changed so much

    Project Manager (Current Employee)
    Austin, TX

Prosability to work from home, fair pay

ConsUpper management is too far removed from the actual day to day business to make good decisions.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to your subject matter experts! Driving change for change sake doesn't mean you are improving anything.

    Santa Clara, CA

ProsSome very smart engineers, few good technologies

ConsBadly managed outsourcing model has killed the company!

Advice to Senior ManagementGet rid of those high paying IT managers who only care to check their emails and don't bother to attend to issues.

ProsMy team was good & quite cooperative.

ConsNon - cooperative Employees with rude behaviour.

Advice to Senior ManagementIt depends that some people gel well but some don't. So you can still try in this Co; as it's a big brand.

Company is managed to hit quarterly financials without regard to sacrifices.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsThe benefits meet industry average. New employees receive 3 weeks vacation. Some jobs allow for employees to work from home.

ConsThe financials are met by not investing in infrastructure. Facility personnel are strapped trying to maintain facilities with no funding. Some Agilent facilities lack strong leaders.

    – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Its a nice company to work for, but perhaps im just not for this department. no growth and no objectives.

    Field Service Engineer (Current Employee)

ProsDecent pay. Not recommended to work in SSD.
Im talking not of Agilent Santa Clara, but in a country in Southeast Asia.

ConsIts a corporate jungle. There are unclear objectives. After you get hired, you are left hanging in the air with no orientation (im talking of the dept only), goals, rules, etc.

Advice to Senior ManagementHire the appropriate people who have AT LEAST a background in Chemistry or Chemical Instrumentation! - Im talking about the Services and Support Dept.
