Pros
Life keep moving with survival, no worries on dead lines.
Cons
no growth at all. my boss don't want to get higher and so above... so everyone remain same for last 4 years
Advice to Senior Management
What to give... anyway they won't listen... they do as they do, it is other corporate company...
Pros
Good people and talent there. Lots of resource both hardware and software readily available. Everybody work hard with long hours spent at work is a plus. I don't have to wait for people to show up tomorrow because they left the office at 4 pm.
Cons
It was a good company to work with. When it still has HP open door policy. But it turned into outsourcing company
Advice to Senior Management
Stop shipping technical work to oversea. You need the top mind and talent here in the US to continue Agilent inovation
Pros
Great people, cool technology, good work live balance. I worked in the central laboratories so my opinion may be biased high as this was a more academic environment.
Cons
Found some of the employees to be very competitive and found opportunties for advancement to be few and far between.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the good work and continue to invest in obtaining the brightest folks here in the united states and capitalize on your intellectual capital
Pros
A good place for Work life balance.
Colleagues are friendly and helpful.
Lot of information and knowledge can be learned.
Have plenty of chances to get training outside.
Cons
Still have rooms to improve on the senior management, project and resource management.
Lack of documentation and information for some of the tasks inside.
Pros
Some Team do have some great leadership. Where ever the employee reports to a foreigner manager that is where he is lucky and for him it is a place to have fun
Cons
Some Teams do not have great leadership. An employee reporting to a local indian manager would not be very lucky irrespective of all benefits and promotions - there is a great difference in the experience of Manager in Agilent India and as compare to their foreign counterparts.
Advice to Senior Management
Development of the leadership to at least bring all to a uniform level of leadership style and skill so that different teams should not have different opinions about the company.
Pros
- Lots of great experience and terrific people to work with
- business operational departments are excellent
- some fantastic managers who really care about work life balance and endorse a culture of respect
- decently challenging and meaningful work
- some terrific people overall
- fantastic tuition reimbursement
Cons
- trying to cost cut its way to greatness as a business strategy starting with employees based on what I saw the last few years I before I left for another company
- promotional opportunities and salary increases highly lacking
- benefits steadily cut
- many "old timers" from the HP days. However, the company they remember doesn't exist anymore and nostalgia won't get the business to where it needs to be.
- HR is not only terrible at providing employee support but on the forefront of endorsing mediocre benefits, lack of salary increases, no promotions and layoffs from the years that I was there.
Advice to Senior Management
Get back to a compensation plan that is meaningful for salary, not just bonuses and stop trying to be a great company by trimming here and there - especially with layoffs as they are losing the heart of what drives them to greatness.
Pros
work life blance and flexibility
Cons
performance evaluation process is not standard
Advice to Senior Management
Understand what individual is doing day to day and evaluate individual's performance based on that.
Pros
Individual contributers.
Technology.
A (very) little bit of HP philosophy still exists.
Cons
Constant erosion of benefits.
Stingy with pay raises.
HR's directive to be mediocre.
Very little HP philosophy exists.
Pros
great pay, interesting technology, great people.
Cons
Poor management, no strategic vision, no path for advancement
Advice to Senior Management
No more musical manager chairs - get rid of managers that don't add value and too many levels of management.
Pros
Great benefits....great technology.....Nice legacy via HP. Pension plan. Vacation policy. Really nice setup for a balanced lifestyle. A standout in this area
Cons
Terrible communication chain......over-compensated senior management. Need to look into controlling salaries of executive staff......three mil for an exec vp of human resources?
Advice to Senior Management
Return to a focus on innovation and invention. Invest in future green technologies as well as refocus on electronic instrument innovation in Asian markets.
