Pros

If you can get a permanent position, then I would recommend staying there because government jobs offer really good pensions. However, if you are a research assistant like me, where there is nowhere to advance and no chance of becoming permanent, then I would go elsewhere.

Cons

There does not seem to be motivation to work harder because by 3pm most of the people have left the building. Also, unless you are a PI, it doesn't really matter how hard you work since I don't see any chance of advancement.

Advice to Senior Management

I think it would be nice if you provide more room for non-management employees for advancement. However, I do enjoy all the activities offered here, especially the BBQs and X'mas parties. Very entertaining!
