I have been working at Air Liquide (USA) full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Air Liquide has a healthy company culture. It is a financial powerhouse with strong business models tailored to the markets it serves. It's long-term perspective helps to ensure the health of the business long into the future. It is generally risk averse, with the exception of development of its people. It moves people into leadership position outside their comfort zone which allows for quick growth and results in well rounded leaders.

    Cons

Steady business sometimes leads to a lack of urgency in decision making ... if we aren't the first mover, that is okay ... we will win in the end.

    Advice to Management

you have a solid development program for high potentials. Keep this moving while you work to develop the workforce. We need programs to develop the drivers, plant operators, and distribution and plant managers of the future.

I have been working at Air Liquide (USA) full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Wide variety of duties which keeps it interesting.

    Cons

Too many changes over the last couple of years all at once. No training with the new systems they are onboarding. Workload is too heavy. They need to hire more people to make things run more smoothly.

    Advice to Management

Get out in the field and sit with the worker bees and see how difficult you have made their jobs.

I have been working at Air Liquide (USA) full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This is a good industry to be involved in. Air Liquide as a company is very successful. It has many opportunities in many locations.

    Cons

The site at Global foundries isn't organized, and management doesn't pay attention to the needs of their employees. Right now it isn't a good place to grow in.

    Advice to Management

Focus on employees needs, recommend tuition assistance and build yourself a good team.

    Pros

Solid company with good benefits. Opportunities for growth.

    Cons

Management too concerned about bottom line and forget the customer. Different divisions receive required assets to succeed at the expense of others,

    Advice to Management

Hire managers with management skills not just sales background.

I have been working at Air Liquide (USA) full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good health benefits, decent pay, encourages work-life balance, excellent 401K match with extra matches for tenure. Local management is great and our direct chain up to corporate is one of the best. Opportunity to advance if desired.

    Cons

Hard to get a pay increase once you start, if you don't get it at offer it will adversely affect you the entire time at the company. Don't fall for promises to make it up "later", if it's not in writing it won't happen and even then it may not be honored. Too many changes happening at once right now.

    Advice to Management

Listen more to the individual locations, we just might see things you don't. Too many unnecessary burdens are being placed on off-site staff because of all of the changes happening at once right now. Your staff is getting spread too thin and is having too much thrown at them at once to keep up with. Change and progress are good, but in manageable pieces, not everything at once.
