A great company with lots of potential for young engineers.

Mechanical Engineer (Former Employee) Houston, TX

ProsTheir rotational CDP program for new engineers gives a breadth of experience in industry. The opportunity to work both in an office environment and the field is invaluable to grow your skills as an engineer.

ConsLike all large company, beauracracy is an issue. Also, it's hard to endorse Allentown as a young engineer, not much to do but great for a family.

Advice to Senior ManagementAlways continue to commit to safety, never let profits cloud the ultimate commitment to making safety the absolute top priority.

ProsGreat company to learn and get trained in the industry. Exposed to a lot early in your career. Good starting point for a long career.

ConsCompany is going through a significant leadership change, but will hopefully emerge from it as a better company. Leadership is currently lacking.

    Hope for the Future

    Manager (Current Employee) Trexlertown, PA

ProsCompany was founded on an innovative concept: of looking at and delivering a simple product in a unique way. There has been a "founders pride" evident there for many years. Company has a strong global presence - works hard to maintain a one-company view while respecting regional and local norms.

ConsHeadquarters is a bit too "US Centric" and even "Allentown, PA-centric". Too many managers competing instead of collaborating. A culture that encourages doing it right the first time versus risk taking impedes innovation. Need to find a balance.

Advice to Senior ManagementLeave room for people to make mistakes and not be penalized. Encourage listening skills - especially to the rank and file and to newer employees who may have different thoughts. Work on diversity of THOUGHT and acceptance of voices different from the "good ol' boy" group (especially with regard to female employees).

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
