    Pros

The best part is not being stuck in one job for your whole career. Opportunities exist for employees to change jobs within the company.
Change is a way of life at Air Products.

    Cons

    The company is very political.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stay connected to middle management so the environment remains aligned throughout the organization.

I have been working at Air Products as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Everyone seems to be very nice no matter what department. There is alot of room to move around the company. You can easily spend your entire career here.

    Cons

I would say that the only con is that there is a lot of traveling for some jobs if you don't like that.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work.

I have been working at Air Products full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great culture surrounding work life balance and diversity and inclusiveness. Even at the most senior level managers are accessible and have an open door policy. MBA rotational program affords the opportunity to network and gain experiences across departments, functions and business areas.

    Cons

Matriculation process is slow. Culture is based upon years in role as opposed to skill set and potential. Company is very conservative and steeped in traditional thoughts and values. This presents challenges in the ever changing business and social environments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Opportunities need to be created with adequate compensation in order to attract AND maintain top talent.

I worked at Air Products full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Lehigh Valley is losing its "Pennsyltucky" feel and has developed in to an OK place to live in the NE. APCI is great place to get early experience and move on.

    Cons

APCI businesses are highly competitive and relatively low dollar, causing downward pressure on wages and benefits. There is a select "good old boy" network alive and well for those who do get the big jobs and perks. Most of the population attended a handful of PA schools, so it has a distinct fraternity feeling in the management ranks. Fortunately, it has been broken up by hiring Seifi Ghasemi, an outsider.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Good Luck with Seifi......bwhahahaha

    I worked at Air Products

    Pros

Good Salaries as compared to other companies in the area..
    Hires good, talented employees.
People are friendly and helpful once you know them.

    Cons

Not many opportunities for women. CDP's are treated very well over other employees who have been there longer and with more experience. Spend time training CDP's who leave the company after a few years since retirement incentives have changed for them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look for most qualified applicants, not just those that fit EEO requirements. More forward thinking on re-engineering the workforce so there isn't so much employee movement.
