    Pros

The division you work in will make a huge difference in working here. I was in the IT division for a little over 3 years. In the division, you were allowed to work from home 2 days per week, but in reality, even the days you are required to be in the office you don't have to be there much. You were also given an extra full day off per month. As long as you're there for "the meat of the day" that's all you need to do. This didn't mean if there was a meeting to go to, but rather the "meaty" hours - which seemed to be from around 9:30 to 1.

    Cons

The pace of work is so slow that I felt like I was stealing money. I even told my superior about it on multiple occasions. The main software project was managed so incompetently that the entire process slowed to a near halt. The supervisory technical skill is so low that data is constantly lost, performance of applications is laughable, and technologies brought to bear on the problems are so outdated they are unstable. Bringing this to the attention of management is discouraged, all the way up to, and including the HR department.

    Advice to Management

You're spending hundreds of thousands of dollars a year for incompetent people to work on internal software products. The work being done on the software takes anywhere from 5-10 times as long as necessary, and results in software that is so slow and buggy that it slows down the rest of the company.

I have been working at Aladdin Bail Bonds full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I get to spend a ton of time away from my family! I get to deal with the best and the brightest in regards to clients and coworkers. I have no time to try for a different job because my schedule is subject to change at any time.

    Cons

I don't make enough money to buy the decent suit they want me to wear. Management has no problem playing favorites.

    Advice to Management

Stop worrying about employee morale or work-life balance, every employee has given up on this.
