    Pros

Challenging work, engaging and dedicated co-workers, constant work in progress to improve environment. Good range of benefits to choose from. Supportive of personal schedule needs.

    Cons

Lots of egos in management, sometimes works against the culture they are trying to create to move the organization forward. Layoffs are painful, often resulting in short staff, and a bigger burden of work, without commiserate pay increase, to the remaining staff.

    Advice to Management

Don't be reluctant to seek out employee ideas and implement them. The employee community really wants to see Einstein grow and succeed, but many feel that management is more interested in their numbers than in their staff.

    Pros

I enjoyed the people I worked with.

    Cons

If you get to the top of your salary range, they will not change it. You can keep making the same rate for ten years. As everything around you goes up, your salary doesn't help you manage your current bills. They also will not change your position title to help you get past the range to be able to receive the cost of living increase as everyone else does who is not at the top of their range.

    Advice to Management

Help change the rules regarding salary ranges. This rule is helping to increase the level of working poor, especially if you are a single parent. It's hard to watch others around you get an increase every year, while others don't. It creates digruntled employees who inturn leave the company.

    Pros

    New facility, with friendly staff.

    Cons

Poor management, no room for growth within company.

    Advice to Management

Be more open to the ideas of your employees, a facility is only as good as their employees. The happier the employee the happier the patients.

    Pros

The only good thing about this company were that the staff stuck together and the option to use payroll deduction.

    Cons

They hire anyone to be a supervisor or an administrator with no clue as to what they are doing. Management does not support the staff at all. The compensation is low.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to the actual people that makes you're company grow.

    Pros

    Nice, friendly coworkers
    Freedom to plan group activities
    Never a dull day
Satisfaction of seeing patients' mental health improve over time
    Flexible supervisor

    Cons

There are only two units - adults and geriatrics. This made planning groups that were inclusive and accessible to all patients difficult.
Some patients lack boundaries and are sexually inappropriate. This position requires a lot of compassion and understanding to avoid frustration and burnout.

    Pros

Generous tuition assistance which is great if you need academic credits to move up in your field. If you are not on a career ladder then tuition assistance is of no benefit. Medical benefits are superior IF you use Einstein's doctors and facilities and IF they have doctors and facilities for your particular medical needs.

    Cons

There are so many processes and procedures in place it's difficult to get anything done. They are consistently understaffed, turnover is high, morale is low and people are always afraid of being laid off - with good reason! Things will get worse before they get better.

    Advice to Management

Stop forcing people to drink the Kool Aid. Enough with all the employee surveys. The problems are obvious. With few exceptions managers are not supporting staff, people feel undervalued and overworked and conditions are ripe for the unions to come in and force the changes management does not have the will or willingness to undertake.
