Tradition isn't always best

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network

ProsThe network is expanding quickly, allowing for more jobs to be available. Great name in healthcare.

ConsThe work environment is very stagnant. Management doesn't like to stray from tradition, so the company isn't growing in as many aspects as it could.

Advice to Senior ManagementThere is nothing wrong with trying something new. It's okay to be risk adverse. However, no risk, no reward.

Philadelphia, PA

I worked at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network full-time for more than 3 years

Consleadership not responsive to changes on unit; leadership not communicative about clients condition - medication or mental status changes; encouraged to lie on documentation about services; no advancement potential; communicable diseases like mrsa and herpes not covered by workers comp

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Not so positive

Desktop Services Intern (Current Employee)
Philadelphia, PA

I have been working at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network as an intern for more than a year

Pros-Nurses and Executives are very friendly and willing to help when able
-Getting out in the field and being hands on
-If you're looking for a fun group to hang with, you found it.

Cons-They refuse to get rid of/or discipline lazy employees
-There is no room to grow and advance
-The interns are training the other interns
-While you get a lot of hands on, few are willing to teach
-Interns do the vast majority of the work at $10/hour
-Management does not have your back
-Very few take blame for their mistakes, quick to deflect it onto interns.

Advice to Senior ManagementYour interns are the majority of your work, you treat us so poorly, we get no chance of advancement, just moving around into another department as an intern. Get rid of the lazy workers, stop laying so much on us interns, we're not full timers. Just have our backs.

Over 5 years with flexibility great co-workers and ok administration

Registered Nurse (Current Employee)
Philadelphia, PA

I have been working at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network full-time for more than 5 years

ProsMy co-workers are great, they are the main reason why I've been there for so long. Management is a whole other story, however they are flexible with your schedule if it deals with school, benefits ok and transportation is close by.

Consvery administrative driven, salary not very competitive compared to others around the area. Little consideration on loyalty and quality on nursing, more on the "rules".

The poor treatment of the staff in my department was unbelievable!

Security Officer (Former Employee)
Philadelphia, PA

I worked at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network full-time for more than 3 years

ProsThe pay is okay for starting out in the field.

ConsThe overall treatment of employees in the security department is the worse I have seen in my many years of security experience. The job is not only unsafe but the hospital wont properly outfit the officers with self defense tools.

Advice to Senior ManagementIf you want to protect staff, patients and visitors the first person you have to protect is the security officers.
