Employee friendly and stress free workplace with lot of opportunities to improve your knowledge. Challenging work will add to your expertise.
Cons
Overall Alcatel-Lucent Lags aggressiveness with other competitors, hasty management decisions are the main reason why the performance is up-to the mark, this affects the employees in the region of compensation benefits offered by the organization.
Advice to Senior Management
Look ahead in technology and be first to dominate the market. Long term decisions are to be adopted over immediate workarounds.

Not much onsite assignments.Only few that too short term.
Promotions based on experience and not on performance and also too late.It takes 7-8 years to become a LEAD.

There are no retirement benefits, no allowances like housing, transport, medicals, and so on. Those are the few i can think of.

Benefits are generally good, and the individuals who work there have a good work ethic (for the most part) and are knowledgeable

Because of the down turn in telecommunications and the recent economic gloom, cost cutting is prevalent - to the point that people who are retained are treated like cattle.

Stop yapping on Engage and having question and answer sessions where the answers are essentially "no comment". Less talk, more action.

Alcatel-lucent is a good company for the people without a lots of experience, Most of the people there are very nice, helpful and friendsly.

There are too many processes, Each project has a lot of delay each step. Everybody wants to give some comments and nobody can give a clear decision,

To make the work, meeting and process... more efficient is quite important. And have some punishment for the people who can not finish the work on time,
