Long eighteen years at what is now ALU.

Commodity Manager (Current Employee) Murray Hill, NJ

    ProsSome really bright people.
    Mostly relaxed atmosphere.
Very interesting and detailed technical work.

    ConsLimited advancement.
    Poor compensation
    Continual layoffs and outsourcing
    Consistently bad strategic direction
Repeating the same mistakes over and over because there is no time to fix.

Advice to Senior ManagementLook to the companies own failures in the past to set strategic direction. Fixing the repeated problems beat yet another people reduction plan. Oh, and never hire another person over the age of 25. The place is a retirement community.
