    Pros

Good pay, Friendly people. Was an easy job minimal stress level. Would consider working there again in the future. great benefits. They even relocated me to Libertyville.

    Cons

I consider it an easy job because they did not have very much work for the interns to do. It was boring at times, the company seems largely conservative. Seemed like a lot of travel for the project managers though.

    Advice to Management

Make more intern projects, give us something that will involve us a little bit more. Otherwise it seemed as though management and the pm's got along great.

    Pros

They have grown into a nationwide company. The benefits are very good. There is potential to succeed in upper management, for which they provide a host of perks.

    Cons

They are getting too corporate, and losing focus on what got them to be successful. A long-term career here is impossible, nowadays, unless you're related to upper management, an executive, or family.

    Advice to Management

Start paying attention to people that invest themselves in the company. There is commitment and a sense of pride when you acknowledge successes and accomplishments of your employees.

    Pros

You WILL learn a lot, even if it's in contrast to what you're asked to do. There are a lot of great people here.

    Cons

Politics. Corporate philosophy (good) that contradicts real world activity (bad). A few bad apples that either don't know, or don't care enough to work professionally.

    Advice to Management

Don't be so sensitive to criticism. Cut back on hiring/promoting family members at every opportunity. Hold your division heads as accountable as the staff below them.

Interesting work. Enjoyed working in the Chicago area. If you want a specialty contractor they are one of the bigger electricals.

    Cons

Almost a choatic environment. Senior management makes some interesting decisions. Seem to be taking on jobs that will never be successful just to keep busy....

    Pros

The people at Aldridge Electric are great, and very family oriented. Aldridge is expanding nationally very quickly, so there is a great opportunity for new hires to move up quickly. I highly recommend this company.

    Cons

Aldridge is expanding nationally very quickly, but it needs to revamp its human resources department to better meet the needs of its employees away from company head quarters.
