    Pros

There are no pros to this company apart from being close to home

    Cons

I could go on forever but I'll keep it short and sweet, would never go back absolutely hated it

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train your staff, have some work ethics, try and dress like management should (not sure dresses and massive heals), don't just recognize people who are "friends" with you. AMS might, big MIGHT go far if the management gets sorted

Morale at an all time low as employees rush towards the exit

    Pros

Alexander Mann has an enviable portfolio of corporate accounts, so on paper it looks great from a CV prospective. Should you be looking for a 9:00-5:30 job, have a preference towards reporting over recruiting, operate best under micro-management, aspire to becoming an accredited “Sourcing Black Belt Ninja” (seriously!) and are not particularly seeking any form of promotion or reward, then AMS is the right place for you.

    Cons

Whilst the business has secured some very notable client wins, the accounts have been very poorly implemented.

Whilst on the subject, the business is clearly targeting one sector from a new business perspective and it surely won’t be a matter of time before somebody asks the question as to why they are taking candidates from one client to give to another, and vice versa; whilst the so called Off-Limits Policy' which serves to restrict the Sourcers from engaging the talent their clients actually want, is alarmingly ignored.

In particular, the Bracknell Global Client Service Centre has become a very uninspiring place to work and has developed somewhat of a targeted blame culture. There is a clear lack of depth and strategic ability within the management team where a very one dimensional view towards standardised KPIs has been adopted - somewhat a "one size fits all" approach yet with no clear evidence behind the numbers to suggest that they are achievable.

It is with very little coincidence that employees are heading towards the exit however, significant question marks can be raised over the Centres capability to deliver moving forward as it forges ahead hiring inadequately experienced replacements that are rushed into the business with no training or guidance but just to put "bums on seats" as one Senior Manager commonly refers to it.

Annual Bonus: There is a complete lack of communication and transparency around this. It’s almost embarrassing. You can work incredibly hard throughout the year and significantly exceed annual objectives, yet will be awarded a Grade 2 due to an existing policy that only a very small percentage of employees can actually be awarded a Grade 1. In fact, the bonus is a ‘Profit Share’ so given the new Belfast office opening; the excessive number of employees leaving and inadequately experienced replacements joining underperforming accounts; it’s very unlikely that another bonus will be paid out for some time.

Promotions: granted on likeability as opposed to capability.

The lack of quality within the mid-level management team - considered the future leaders of AMS – casts serious doubts over the future of the business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You are watching exceptional talent leave. The business needs to undergo a front to back transformation and define a clear strategy within the delivery mechanics of the operation. Bridge the gap between the onsite and offsite teams. Re-establish realistic KPI models. Review the bonus structure and ensure that high performers are recognised and rewarded. Take a longer term view, come out from behind the reports and steer the focus back to quality of delivery.

    Pros

Good holiday allowance, good company to put on your CV

    Cons

Consistently let down staff on bonus, a lot of middle management fail to inspire & can treat staff like they are school kids, salaries vary hugely, staff who are 'in' with the management are recognised whilst others doing a good job are not, annual reviews are conducted pretty poorly & dont really recognise your work (This isnt bitterness as I was promoted from one of mine). Promotion not really recognised in your salary... any increase will be minimal, contracts may state 37.5 hours per week but in most cases around 45 is expected even when you have been let down on bonus

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus more on your staff, train middle managers for more consitency, have some sort of salary structure that means staff doing the same job arent paid so differently, pay staff the bonus that they have earned
