I worked at AliTek Consulting as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

As a 'road warrier' for Alitek, they really negotiated a sweet arrangement for us with the client, so there were no financial hardships spending most of the week out of town. They also paid attention to our time away and made sure we were scheduling some weeks remote to ensure some kind of work/life balance. Their admin staff at the home office was at my service whenever I had a question and kept things always going smoothly.

    Cons

My only complaint was that there wasn't enough opportunity after my project to keep me on staff.

I worked at AliTek Consulting full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Good salary and benefits. Willing to provide additional training if needed. Interesting, if unconventional perks such as a beach house party for all employees.

    Cons

The company claims to be faith-based, but their "faith" appears to be profit and greed. AliTek has a habit of hiring folks on speculation for projects in the pipeline, and if they don't get signed, the consultant will be summarily laid off as opposed to finding other projects. Little to no support for required software in order to do our jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The investment in your team is not simply salary. Offer opportunities for growth instead of assigning a rigid "profile" to present to clients. Trust your techies, they will come through for you.

    Doesn't Recommend
