Pros – protocol based management, good patient flow, good work environment, excellent nursing staff, decent patient care standards, its a heaven if you have the right stars!

Cons – some senior residents corner most operative exposure; others suffer, some senior residents even had to do dressings as junior residents were doing paper work all the time; these people consider census as audit while both are different

Advice to Senior Management – stop micromanaging; scrap a particular person in unit 4 surgery aiims

Pros – It is the best medical institute of India, with all the major high tech medical facilities available.

Cons – Work load is too high.

Pros – gud pay(of course ),
gud experience for all(trainees,staff, undergrads,pgs etc) on view of diseases and treatment
learn to survive in the worst waves
plenty of options for managing same disease
active social officers team at service for poor and needful

Cons – patient crowd is more than the hospital can actually handle
limited staff most of times
limited resources occasionally
poor management systems
ignorant always suffers
stress at work often noted for dr's and nurses(higher for the former)
you can only complain and wait for action in the world's end

Advice to Senior Management – i know somewhere you are also helpless as i am but one person can start to make a difference

Cons – hostel accomodation is exteremely delayed

Pros – Its a reputed hospital with all latest technology & facilities. It has the best doctors & faculty. Its well known for its research & academics.Its a Premier Institute in the field of health with people from different states coming here for treatment. It is well known for treating patients who are in the category of below poverty free of cost & helping them in treatment..

Cons – There is too much of politics.Only medicos are given importance.Non medicos have to some times do work which is not related to their profession which becomes frustrating at times.There is too much rush & doctors should be increased.No proper place to sit for many employees.

Advice to Senior Management – Non medicos should be given more importance & not made to do work which is not related to their profession

Pros – You get the best exposure in the field of Modern Medicine; be it faculty, patients ( number and variety), equipment (PCR, MRI angio, PET, etc) among others. The campus and environment is awesome too ie. well maintained and clean campus, excellent library (which by the way is 24hrs open), and a competitive atmosphere (cause the best in the field is there) . Regarding my field of Pharmacology, I can proudly say this is one of the few colleges in the country where quality research happens and is encouraged. Since our curriculum (MD Pharmacology) has a very significant overlap with the MSc and PhD students, we also imbibe the scientific mindset from them and they imbibe the clinical touch from us, which is a win-win scenario. Oh! and one last thing (the most important thing for some), you get the best pay too.

Cons – A very difficult one to answer. In recent times, it has become difficult to get accommodation (hostel rooms for us and quarters for the faculty) provided by AIIMS.

Advice to Senior Management – Probably a little more involvement in our academic activities by the faculty in our department.
