Former Employee – worked at Allant Group full-time for less than a year
Pros – Good pay, Good vacation package, People are very friendly and nice environment.
Cons – Bad health coverage, poor hr structure; can not think our of box. Spending too much money for hiring people that doing redundant work but not spending money for next generation platform building - R & D.
Advice to Senior Management – you have lots of small team that are developing same software. Think of building a framework that support all client processing in very generic way. That will cut down your stuffing cost to 50% - believe me, no kidding. Have a separate offshore team for 24 hrs support. Your model of developers and managers are doing production support is very poor. Look ahead 5 yrs and think how you should prepare in technology wise to satisfy client's need. If you don.t change your vision toward technology, in 2 yrs you will loose your biggest client as they are getting with technological capabilities.

Current Employee – been working at Allant Group
Pros – General good salary & benefits, and lots of great people
Cons – No clear company direction or leadership from senior management;
Morale is extremely low, in part due to past layoffs, and well as more that are coming soon;
A technology company who doesn't embrace technology or invest in training to drive efficiency;
Advice to Senior Management – Not even sure where to start - the company is very dysfunctional right now and there is little trust or collaboration across the CXO offices. The rank and file have nothing to believe in....

Former Employee – worked at Allant Group full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Allant has some of the brightest people in the direct marketing industry. Overall, compensation and benefits are competitive.
Cons – Teams are consistently stretched for resources as Company has a "just-in-time" approach to staffing projects. Company struggles with being able to offer scalable solutions for clients as very few "off the shelf" solutions are available. As a result, new client start-ups take on average of 6-9 months, limiting the number of start-ups that can be accomplished each year.
Advice to Senior Management – In order to meet aggressive growth plans, the company needs to determine more streamlined and efficient ways to bring up new clients. Each client start-up requires new development virtually from scratch rather than taking an offering that is 80% "baked" and then customizing 20% per client requirements. It seems like everyone needs to re-invent the wheel each time a new client signs on.

Current Employee – been working at Allant Group full-time
Pros – Generally pretty flexible work at home policy
Cons – They had one round of layoffs in December and more are coming. Stay away. Management doesn't lead, just tries to squeeze more and more from employees

Former Employee – worked at Allant Group full-time for more than a year
Pros – Fair Wages
Fair Raises
Very Competent Employees
401K, health, vision, dental, and a few other optional benfits included
Good Vacation Time
8-5 work mostly,. Hardly much overtime
Growing quickly
Cons – They should share company goals better
Location is in the suburbs. That might be great for some but bad for others.
Health Benefits are present but deductible is too high
May or may not be room for advancement depending on your field
Advice to Senior Management – Share where you feel like you are heading more. I felt as though I didn't know where my company was going to be in 5 years. Also, share with your employees their options for advancement. I felt as though there wasn't much opportunity for me there.

Former Employee – worked at Allant Group full-time for more than a year
Pros – Friendly colleagues and supportive environment
Cons – Struggling business, volatile, all eggs in one basket, employ full-time for temp projects and they let people go rather than hire contractors and pay more; No career growth opportunities; Not defined policies and procedures; all happens on ad hoc basis.
Advice to Senior Management – Stop just using people; For temp jobs/projects hire contractors rather than trick people

Current Employee – been working at Allant Group full-time for more than a year
Pros – Never had more access to senior level and executives at a company of this size before. Regular communication from the top on revenue, new business, challenges and more. Excellent new opportunities in the market and emerging technology are a priority. Rapid growth, lots of new hires. Lots of process improvements coming from all and plenty of ears to hear new ideas that actually get implemented - very refreshing!
Cons – Training is a bit lax, but improving. There are peaks and valleys with clients work coming in and the valleys have been somewhat frequent. New business coming online, but at a very slow and perhaps overly cautious clip.
Advice to Senior Management – Continue to improve onboarding/training for new employees and middle mgt needs to move work around for those eager to fill their time more productively.

Current Employee – been working at Allant Group
Pros – People are open to new ideas and new ways of doing things. Ability to collaborate across teams was good. Was given responsibility to drive results for clients.
Cons – The pay is below average but flexibility is good. Travel can be taxing at times. The benefits are below average - especially the 401k.
Being relatively small, the ability to create new products and venture into new areas is limited when compared to its competitors.

Former Employee – worked at Allant Group
Pros – Owner and President are both wonderful people -- down to earth. Benefits great and salaries very fair.
Cons – Experiences are different based on where in the company you work. Senior management doesn't always have good insight as to what's really happening within some departments.
Advice to Senior Management – Pay closer attention.
