I have been working at Allegis Global Solutions full-time for more than a year

    Pros

All levels of management are open and available to discussions on personal performance and how to improve. Great place to learn about recruiting, HR, and corporate interaction.

    Cons

Entry level salaries are the same across the board, no matter if you are a college grad or switching careers. There should be some emphasis on previous experiences.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More training for employees that have potential to be more and look at promotions faster for people that are making sacrifices for the good of the company.

I have been working at Allegis Global Solutions full-time

    Pros

The people who work at this company are great- very friendly, good team camaraderie

    Cons

A lot- no management training once promoted, no resources to help employees improve themselves, closed off communication between management and employees, the pay is terrible- very low for the amount of work that you are required to do, no employee recognition. Some people are hired to fill spots rather than looking for the right talent which causes an imbalance between the hard workers and those who slack off. Favoritism is rampant- if a manager likes an employee regardless of skill level or aptitude, they will promote those people into management positions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve training/onboarding, pay your employees better, create communication standards, look into employee retainment programs, take a hard look at those you hire to fill positions

I have been working at Allegis Global Solutions full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Culture, Work Environment, Co-workers. The people at this company really care about you as a person and professional and are committed to help you further your career.

    Cons

Due to the belief in the culture and the environment the salary range of many jobs is lower than other companies, but that is up for the individual to decide what means more in a job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

In order to retain top talent, especially if they are a cultural fit, it might be beneficial to implement higher pay increases to those who deserve them as additional incentive.

I worked at Allegis Global Solutions full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The company offers a good benefit package.

    Cons

The Stamford office is a very unprofessional hostile work environment. When they recruit you to work here I suggest to HANG UP! and mark the email as spam. It's amazing that the large and very successful clients have no idea how employees are treated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice to upper management is to provide your management teams with extensive training because they are extremely hostile, abusive, racist, sexist and dishonest.

None--this is not a place to grow.

    Cons

Everything - leadership doesn't know what they are doing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire people who can actually do the job according to the title.

I have been working at Allegis Global Solutions full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Very little quality is asked of you. You can learn to be an expert in avoiding blame. If you have basic Admin skills you don't need any real recruiting skills. You will learn how to convince clients not to expect more.

    Cons

Management is threatened ny the slightest display of competence. The bay is one third market rate. Their system support structure is laughable. The recruiters will be obsolete in 2 years they are just now grasping recruiting 101 concepts. They are interested in focusing on who to blame and can spend an entire week on this rather than productive task. These is by far the most incompetent recruiting organization I have ever worked for. You will be forced to travel, and share a room with a stranger. Un allowed to pay for your own room. If you live near the event, it is still required you stay at a hotel and share a room with a stranger. They are more concerned about optics than performance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take some leadership training classes. Step into the year 2014 and realize things have changed since 1994. Get a Talent Acquisition system to support your clients. Hire real recruiters. Stop micromanaging people. Get a grasp on the concept that smart people surronded.by.things themselves with other smart peole.

    Pros

    really great environment, relaxed
great co-workers (depends on what account you are on)
    room for growth
    encouragement to learn more

    Cons

The office is growing. I started in June 2013 and by December 2013 there were about 40 new faces. There are too many people and after you talk to some folks you find that they are being hired for the wrong positions. I think the internal recruiting team is overwhelmed and focusing more on filling a seat rather than getting the right person in there.

Pay for this role is just horrible and management knows it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Slow down and take your time with your growth. Hire the right people and pay them at the right price.

    Pros

Great people, great culture, great environment. Respect from co workers, well known in the industry and great branding.

    Cons

Salaries not competitive for tri-state area, unrealistic expectations for work/life balance, efforts not always recognized by management for above and beyond, even though it is at the Corporate level and encouraged.

I worked at Allegis Global Solutions full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

When new clients are signed, there are a number of opportunities that become available. During my 4 years at AGS, I held 4 different roles and employees can gain a lot of MSP/RPO experience. The best part about working for AGS are those that work on-site with a client...because you get the client culture, not AGS'

There is also a lot of opportunity to voice your opinion about projects/processes.

    Cons

AGS wins business by agreeing to unrealistic SLA's with their clients. This put a tremendous amount of pressure on the recruiters and most end up burning out and having zero work life balance. Due to the high turnover, there are many managers in roles who have absolutely no manager training. It is also shocking to me that AGS continues to win clients by talking about the importance of HR and recruitment working together but as a company itself, there is no HR department and no global standards. It is also a boys club - most of management have known eachother their entire careers and senior positions just keep switching among that group.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train your managers and bring in employees with outside experience to make your organization better. Also, don't get so big that you no longer have an expertise. You should win clients in industries that your recruiters actually have experience. This would make implementations to new clients much easier.
