Pros
Great Place to Work with freedom to come up with innovative concepts. Full Support from the Senior Management and Peers.
Cons
Its a subsidiary company in India and fairly new name in India; hence not many people know about Allegis and its not considered as a brand.
Advice to Senior Management
Provide more flexibility to employees to maintain work life balance.
Pros
Very strong culture & value system , Global foot print , very good growth opportunities , collaboration.
Its a total talent solution company for oragnisation which are looking at talent transformations.
Gives you an entrepunerial set up.
A high touch organisation, Transparent, great candidate exp & customer service & very good delivery capabilities.
Cons
I don't see any down sides of working in this organisation.
There is scope to standardise certain working frameworks in the company as we go global.
Advice to Senior Management
We need to think more on the challenges of globalization & ways of implentation of all the innovation we have come up with.
Pros
Good top management team
Work life balance
Moving towards a RPO Player in the Recruitment Space
Cons
No clear directions or support from US to train the India team in excelling in RPO/Business Development
Advice to Senior Management
Please invest on training the local team; build a Indian story to pitch business and dont take US support for selling in India market
Pros
Very dynamic, energetic organization, huge successes in the marketplace; THE place to be if you work for a RPO
Cons
Remote access to leadership; lack of training in some cases
Advice to Senior Management
Do in-house training for particular client
Pros
They are eager to employ you, they are personable, they care about continuing your career.
Cons
They try to low ball on pay, the benefits are piss poor, the follow up and follow through communication was lack luster
Advice to Senior Management
Mandate over communication to contractors.
Pros
The pay can be wonderful! The "cliques" can suck!
Cons
Sometimes it feels like it is a used car lot for people instead of cars.
Advice to Senior Management
Once you are grown up and become a manager, act your age. You aren't just out of college anymore. Get the management on some bi-polar meds as well. The company is a great springboard for something better in the future. Learn as much as you can and then go elsewhere.
Pros
This is a company that has the opportunity for advancement and very good pay if you are willing to dedicate 60-70+ hours a week. When the economy is good people in there 20s can have the opportunity to make six figures. What other company allows for that type of salary at such a young age
Cons
The first thing you need to ask yourself is why is there very few people in their 30s+ at this company. That should tell you right away that job satisfaction is poor because nobody stays there long term. This is an extremely numbers driven company. I felt that I was going through the motions just to get numbers which did not mean anything. Don't expect to have a life. You better have the phone glued to your ear making cold calls all day if you do not want management questioning you. All other daily tasks are to be done on "B" time. Which means after your normal working hours. If you have had a job Aerotek you will realize that you do not need to work 50-60 hours a week just to keep your job. It is also common to be told that certain tasks need to get finished in order for you to leave each day. A job should not be a prison.
Advice to Senior Management
Take a good look at all the negative reviews that everyone has written. Does this really make you feel proud of the company you work at. Every review states hellish hours, little pay, poor managment, and ect.. I know this is falling on deaf ears because I told my manager about all the same concerns and he said that Aerotek would not change their standards. I laugh now and wonder if that manger is even still there.
Pros
Good entry level training, strong culture, ethical and high income potential. The onboarding and initial training is industry leading and the recruiter to sales alignment provides great guidance for recent college graduates. The organization has invested in state of the art technology and a quality process that provides a competitive advantage if/when followed and utilized properly. There are competitive incentive opportunities for high performers. National/International operations offer great networking opportunities to meet client needs.
Cons
Long term employee development lacks formality and structure. Initial training for recruiter and account management roles is intensive and structured but becomes intermittent and unstructured beyond that unless moved into a leadership role.
Advice to Senior Management
Develop formal performance, mentorship and career path process and procedures.
Pros
They reward ambition and drive. They also have an expectation that you will compete against and support your team-mates at the same time. You will definitely get exposed to some very marketable skills. If you have ever worked somewhere else, you just might be amazed at how professional this outfit is. It is not uncommon for someone to leave, then try to get back in. The grass is definitely not greener on the outside. When there are disagreements with colleagues, it is expected that you will address the issue and resolve the issue. It feels like a healthy family to me.
Cons
It is tough to be successful just working 8 - 5. Lots of pressure to perform at a high level and sustain that over time - not easy. Some big hitters get away with some fairly arrogant behavior that would not be tolerated if they were not bringing in so many pelts. Lately, as things have gotten tough in the market, we seem to be curling up a bit and not making it safe for our partners to do their best work. It feels guarded right now, and I believe we need to be more aggressive than our competitors. Not all of the managers know how to communicate effectively in order to inspire workers.
Advice to Senior Management
Please keep developing our managers. When they improve their EQ skills, everything seems to improve. Remember, EQ skills must be tended to like a garden, so once per year is not enough.
Pros
It's a great place to start a career. The internal projects were interesting and exciting when they lasted. The people were great. The benefits and bonuses were also great.
Cons
If you plan to understand the industry, staying longer at the company arms your technical abilities. The technology was customized to their flavor so ERP and CRM applications were basically customized. The other downside is that the salary ranges varied disparagingly so if you attempted to look for another job the outside salaries were much lower than Allegis. Reviews were very subjective and not much thought really went into them. Employees were allowed to write their own reviews so if they had it good with a manager, s/he basically used whatever you gave them. Upper management were all friends-of-friends so its was difficult to get promoted into that upper echelon. Some employees who worked hard but did not work the long hours were not recognized for "face time" which was unfair. Great company if you own stock but the stock options were not available to every employee as again it was subjective as to who got stock based on likeness and not necessarily on performance.
Advice to Senior Management
Base performance on objectives. Meet frequently with employees and get feedback directly from them. Allow stock option for all and not just those "liked".
