I worked at Allegis full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great hiring managers, solid company, good tools

    Cons

Administrative processes in HR were a bottleneck that often caused us to have to start searches over and over. Interviews had to be schedule by an HR Admin who was unwilling or unable to stay up with the workload. Only two start dates per month. Daunting to get an offer out.

    Advice to Management

Small changes could equal big wins

  8. Run from this company - fraudulent and sues former employees at the drop of a hat. Do your due diligence research.

    Pros

You can work with some high level clients- but as a commission-based sales person, it is up to your efforts to close these deals yourself with no help or infrastructure from the company. You will compete against your own recruiters internally. Recruiters act fraudulent to try and close deals.

    Cons

Too many to list.... A lot of fraud in the management. They will throw the younger, less experienced employees under the boss to cover their tracks (read the lawsuits pertaining to Maxim Healthcare, an Allegis owned company where billionaire and Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Biscouti had a large stake in the company); "Cover your hyde" work environment, low pay and will cut your commissions and take credit for your work.

    Advice to Management

Be ethical. Get in some new blood- the owner Steve Biscouti seems to like to keep his inner circle close to him... all the high level employees have worked for one of his existing companies- Major, Lindsey & Africa, Maxim Healthcare, Aerotek.... most are not qualified for the high level positions. At Major, Lindsey & Africa- their CEO Simon Robinson doesn't even have a college degree and was a waiter before he worked at Aerotek but he is close friends with the Allegis higher ups....

    Pros

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Allegis full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Sales people given generous meal allowances and a company car. Pay is good once a large book of business is built. Average at the beginning. If you like traveling this is a great position for you. You'll spend 7 days a week on the road.

    Cons

Sales activity can be micro-managed at times. This is not a problem if you are getting good results. If you are struggling at all this can feel a bit overwhelming. Expect at least 3 days a week to be on the road overnight as territories are very large. Expect stiff competition and a reluctance from business to meet with you since they are constantly being contacted.

    Advice to Management

    Provide health benefits.
