I have been working at Allegro Development full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There are some fun people there in a few groups; Managers provide little leadership.

    Cons

Lots of cliques; not a very welcoming group of people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The Support and IT people are nice; Development is awful; all of the executives on the 22nd floor are unprofessional and lack simple Management 101

I have been working at Allegro Development full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I started out really enjoying the opportunity at Allegro until I continually saw friends and subject matter experts terminated left and right for having an opinion - and actually knowing the industry. I dread going to work but have to for family reasons

    Cons

COMPLETELY micromanaged by the CEO; finance is a joke; the implementation and development leaders are sheep; the have new HR that doesn't return emails and i never see at work

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at Allegro Development full-time for more than a year

    Pros

None. Although they have a decent reputation in their industry niche - that has more to do with the fact that there isn't really any competition.

    Cons

CEO is has a serious Napoleon complex - Small man who needs to feel very important. CEO makes every decision in the company. V.P.s have titles but no power. CEO sees employees as cattle and treats them the same way.

Outstanding growth opportunities both nationally and internationally. Company is doing very well and is sharing the wealth with the employees. Friendly environment with an outstanding work-life balance culture. Good benefits and great pay in an exciting industry.

    Cons

Very technical product so may take you a while to come up to speed but you'll be surrounded by really kind and smart people to help you along.

    Pros

    -Strong Communication within teams
-Flexible with regards to scheduale (emergancy's, kids, Dr appt)
    -Friendly atmosphere to work in.

    Cons

-New hire training is weak, leading to a slow ramp up period. When a new analyst is hired they don't start doing their actual job for 3 months to a year.
-At times some groups seem understaffed causing delays in customers issue resolution.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    -More reqular reviews and feedback
-More incentives to regulary motivate employees
-Increase days to work from home, most of the work can be done remotely.
-Overall great company to work for the in years I've been here!

Former Employee - Deployment Manager in London, England (UK)

I worked at Allegro Development full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The pros are a good financial package and the opportunity to work with a great group of consultants. If travel is your thing you will get the opportunity to rove Europe, although the likelihood is you'll end up working in ex-soviet block countries.

    Cons

The little meglamaniac at the top seriously affected the ability to get things done. He always controlled even the smallest decisions to get client development completed. They paid the money, knew what they wanted and needed BUT unless EAK siad so it would never get developed. The resulting culture was to never question and look to quick exit for "family reasons" if for any reason you dared to voice an opinion contrary to EAK.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the consultants facing the clients. You'll get a more loyal employee and client install base.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
