I have been working at Allergan as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

Great work environment, the staff and employees are very kind and professional. Clean working environment with great benefits.

    Cons

some times you work on call, not a lot of room for error. I felt as a contract worker I didn't have the privilege the Allergan employees had. Was trained to complete all access of the job only to be dumped to hire a new employee.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The Management had a lot on their hands, but focus should not be taken off the employees. Or certain cases should be made to work better with an employee could become a part of the Allergan team.

I worked at Allergan full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Easy Work as long as you stay on top of your responsibilities

    Cons

Hard to progress, and mundane work

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keeping your go getters and people that progress rapidly busy and use them to their full potential. Do not overlook age or experience.

I have been working at Allergan full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Flexible hours, great place for new grads to meet each other, company performance above average overall

    Cons

Sub-par pay, favoritism, inconsistently enforced procedures/SOPs, lack of teamwork (especially between departments), high level of complacency (lots of spoilage), poor middle management in all departments, Waco is not the best for everyone

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pinpoint the hard workers, reward them, and cut the underperformers

I have been working at Allergan full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great health benefits, good place to start in pharma industry, financially stable company, good corporate mission and core policies, decent starting salaries

    Cons

Little room for advancement, small salary increases, small to minimal bonuses, poor work - life balance, very strict sick time policy, nepatism through out the facility, no work at home policy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop creating positions for the wives of favored employees, develop a work at home or flex time policy, develp better bonuses and salary increases for everyone (even the hourly employees). Develop a mentoring program to help increase promoting from within.
