    Pros

Boots is a professional company with a fantastic work ethos, continuously striving to strengthen its bonds with its customers. Working as part of the team at Boots can be a very fulfilling role.

    Cons

There is little room for professional development in terms of promotion. Moreover the current issue of the company being severely understaffed can lead to an unhealthy work life balance for employees when strain is placed on them to work longer hours while covering a number of posts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees with an empathetic ear.

    Pros

The staff discount is okay, 22.5% on Boots branded products and 12.5% on non-Boots brands.

    Cons

Not much opportunity for progression unless you want to go into management and it is virtually impossible to book the time off that you actually want.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take better care of your staff.

    Pros

It is entirely dependent on what team you are in and who your boss is. There are a lot of long serving employees.

    Cons

Cut backs, things are so tight across dispensaries that from my experience I think it is borderline unsafe. The atmosphere in stores is terrible. Staff are stress and fed up. Good people are leaving. The company has lost it's ability to care for people. It is targets, cost control, targets, cost control all the way. The middle and higher management that I know of are a complete joke. Merely lining their own career path, rather than standing for what this once great company should be standing for.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get real....I know that Stefano wants to sell, but have you been in stores??? Wherever I go customers are complaining about their medicines not being ready. They will vote with their feet. We are about to lose huge market share.

    Pros

growing to become a true global leader in its market and is likely to have found some stability with its new merger

    Cons

    Pros

the ethos of customers service is brilliant. staff discount Christmas bonus good amount holidays perks good

    Cons

how many extra UNPAID hours needed to achieve the customer service the staff want to give. UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS FOR PHARMACY staff cuts

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

keeping it lean is ok. cutting it till if one person is off sick it falls apart is stupid.....staff goodwill to pull together when short staffed is now wearing thin ....why bother, it needs to fall apart before extra cover is given. customer service... staff no ;longer want to promise a better service because it will only lead to being shouted at, at a later date
