Pros
Quality employees who honestly care
Cons
Company has the right ideas just doesn't execute them well... Abuse employees and pay is minimal compared to industry standard. Great stepping stone to move onto their competition and larger companies but definitely not a place you stay for more than 2 or 3 years.
Advice to Senior Management
Define roles; compensate/pay employees fairly and appropriately; quit using the economy as an excuse for every action; define roles and positions more clearly; spice up office atmosphere and stop being so boring, you do technology and networking, you are not a funeral home
Pros
Due to the size of the company it is possible to be exposed to multiple technologies. As the trend towards to Unified Datacenters, having this exposure into the different disciplines is a valuable addition to the resume.
Gain the skillset and move on to bigger and better things.
Cons
Zero Career Development.
No budget for training related to career discipline.
Salaries are nowhere near market competitiveness.
Improve the communication from senior leadership.
High employee turnover.
Advice to Senior Management
Have more respect for engineering, although sales is what drives the business, the engineers implement the solutions and develop and nurture the client relationship.
Pros
It's a great place to kick off your career and learn the technologies.
Cons
- No career advancement even if you follow their certification path
- No raise given to employee
- Only gives raise to those who are favourite in eyes of management and they don't do much work as compared to others
Advice to Senior Management
- Need to treat each employee with respect and dignity.
- Each person in the team contribute to the success of Alliant, so everyone must be praised.
- Should have a path for career advancement.
