Pros
Allianz offers a good work/life balance, people are friendly and ready to help. Wide global reach and a very strong position.
Cons
Not the most dynamic firm, career opportunities might be found elsewhere. People are sometimes neither very highly qualified nor very dynamic.
Advice to Senior Management
The management has steered the company very well through the turmoil of the financial crisis. The members of the board understand their business very well.
Pros
Benefits are competitive and cover all areas.
Cons
Frequent restructuring that discourages applicants.
Advice to Senior Management
There are other ways to manage the bottom line.
Pros
They pay a decent salary
Cons
no respect, no communication, lack of honesty
Advice to Senior Management
grow up, treat your employees with respect and they will perform to the best of their ability
Pros
Small team, flexible schedule, decent salary, small number of clients.
Cons
Small team can also make it difficult to balance a heavy work load
Advice to Senior Management
Would be nice to have had more clients to get a better range of work through the door.
Pros
Allianz SE is a great company trying to make presence in the US. I enjoy being a part of that. Allianz Life needs a lot of work, but I believe it's headed in the write direction. It could be an exciting time for the company.
Cons
Lack of technology. Allianz Life is way behind the times in technology and it inhibits growth.
Advice to Senior Management
Invest more money in technology and hiring top talent.
Pros
The pay for an intern position was a good rate. I was given a number of responsibilities on a project and was working side by side with senior employees. My input was listened to on the team and regarded well, which may not be the case typically for an intern position in a group with mostly senior employees.
Cons
The work place environment seemed to deteriorate during the time that I was there. There was a lack of morale amongst employees which seemed mostly due to a lack of trust in the leadership. Employees seemed bitter about leadership decisions and didn't believe re-organization efforts would benefit the company or fix the root problems.
Advice to Senior Management
Invest time into employees so they feel included and heard even during the difficult times.
