    Pros

    5 loaves a day at 20pence each

    Cons

unfair, unjust and unnecessary practices, blame culture, poor safety practices non existing career development ,heavy use of contractors due to high staff turnover, due to a like it or lump it attitude creating unhappy. Staff

    Advice to Management

Investigate deeper. People are really unhappy due to the way the managers below you implement policies

    Pros

Decent pay and benefits, special note must be made for ABF's fantastic pension scheme.

    Cons

Same as below review, I have been a Territory Manager for years and my RSM doesn't even come out with me any more. My PAR is not even started 5 periods into the year. Speaking with colleagues it's clear that moral is through the floor. I really like AB and would like to work with them until retirement but I cannot get on due to the poorly run grad scheme. Its so sad but I cant see a future here after all these years and I'm currently looking for work else where, I will continue to work hard whilst I'm here.

    Advice to Management

Let non grads have a "real PAR with development", asked my manager today if we can sit down and get one in place, he said don't worry, at the end of the year I'll put something on that will get you 2% pay rise. I think he is missing the point.

    Pros

Great grass roots employees, flexible in work patterns (sometimes)

    Cons

Frustrations at lack of resources, safety culture sadly lacking (can't afford to make plant safe and efficient), poor development (peers providing training!!!), unrealistic expectations of being a world class company

    Advice to Management

Acknowledge you've over stretched yourselves with production investment decisions. Safety should be first not a badge to bring out when you think you should

    Pros

4 on 4 off shift pattern. Overtime available. 24 days holiday. Ask others for possible shift swap or cover.

    Cons

Have to work nights every other week. 12 hr shifts! Have to work at weekends. If shift falls on bank holiday you have to work (with no extra pay, as all a consolidated rate)

    Advice to Management

Could get involved a bit more. Take others concerns more seriously.
