I have been working at Allied International Credit Corporation full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Commission - if you can beat the average you will get a slice of monthly bonus (varies with each department tho)
    Lots of training
You meet a lot of great people
company tries to suck up with free casual days
    Overtime comes up a lot
shift premium if you work evening shift
    Paid gym on sight
Some advancement career opportunities (also in cons)

    Cons

    where to begin...
You can get fired at any time, even if your numbers are good and you been there for a while (i seen people fired after 8 months to a year with the company - 2 managers just come up with an empty box and say its a business decision and don't give any other reasons- and you are escorted out
you get minimal wage (potential increase of 0.25 cents if you last at least 6 months and do good)
you work in a call center and you are also a collections agent - you cold call people asking for money that they owe

you have to be dressed in business clothes - TO SIT AROUND FOR 8 HOURS IN FRONT of a computer (you do get an option to pay 10$ a month to get to dress casual for 1 day [weekend days fri-sun only]

IF you get put into an American department be prepared to work Canadian holidays
some People that you call will be rude will swear at you and will hang up on you if you can stand that on a daily basis than youll do great here

if you call in sick (even if you got a sick day) you are still expected to come in for an extra shift to make up your hours on the phone and you WILL NOT get over time pay (yes after you hit 44 hrs that week its still the same reg pay

There is no time and a half pay for holidays that you work, you instead get a paid day off but you can only use it if you had it approved way in advance of the day that you want to use it on

advancement career opportunities- be prepared to get overlooked if you haven't been there long enough

Some people get to get away with a lot of things while others are watched and haunted down on the spot for any errors

over all good company to start in if you trying to build experience in collections, customer service, call center environment

BENEFITS are only available after 6 months (excluding dental- that comes after 12 months) and they are the worst benefits ever (as was told to me by the pharmacist that did my prescription , they got me 2$ off my prescription and i paid the other 74$) very specific and only cover the most basic cheapest drugs

During holiday and tax season you will be begged to do over time there will be lots of agents around... than february and march will come around and there will be massive firings and a third of the newer people get canned and over time is gone until the next rush, you are only as valuable to the company as the amount of $ you generate per hour

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

relax the dress code - senior management constantly says its to impress potential clients but those only come once a quarter - 6 months. its ok for senior management and CEO to be in their office if they wear shorts and work out clothes BUT not for you to wear something that's an inch too short or the wrong color or is not on the aproved list (there's 2 pages for dress code - depending on your sex)

Great team environment, decent hours in the back office though production floor hours for collection agents varies.

The company promotes a lot of fun events for their employee's to participate in such as Superhero and the very entertaining Halloween costume contest.

    Cons

Can't say for collectors but there were no cons in the back office that i can think of.

    Pros

Not difficult to get hired if you speak French.

    Cons

Pay is way too low to stay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Select your floor supervisors well, they need to be able to resolve problems on the floor, not add more stress.

I have been working at Allied International Credit Corporation

    Pros

Good training and knowledge gained of the industry.
    Lots of good people.
    Fairly flexible with work/life balance.
You can earn a decent bonus if you really work for it.(but not as good as it used to be)

    Cons

They pay 10.77-12.00/hr to start (this is not a minimum wage job)
You almost never get a raise, if you bring it up they will talk about making bonus is your extra income. (in 5 years 2 raises that I practically had to beg for)
Not all but most managers are 'yes men' they have do as I say and not as I do attitude.
If you don't kiss butt or know someone you won't get ahead.
Management makes lots of promises that they never follow through on.
Very high turnover rate as most people can't take the micro management and lack of positive feedback.
Speak your mind and you're out the door.
AIC used to be ok but now I wouldn't recommend working there to anybody, it's a mess. Everyone is overworked and underpaid

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Value your employees, pay a decent wage so that the good people will stay. Give raises to good employees to show you value them, and most of all weed out the horrible managers who treat their employees like slaves.
