I worked at Allied Technology Group (more than a year)

    Pros

The work environment was dynamic and required timely responses to crisis situations to ensure actions were initiated to save lives at sea.

    Cons

The senior leadership experience varied from manager to manager. The opportunity for professional growth was limited due to the nature of work.

I worked at Allied Technology Group full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Easy to work with project managers. I worked remotely, so I did not have a lot of direct contact with management on a day to day basis. My project manager was always just a phone call or email away when I needed help.

    Cons

I can not think of anything bad to say about this company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at Allied Technology Group full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Easy to work with project managers. Proactive evaluations. To be honest, I worked remotely and rather independently, so I did not have a lot of direct contact with management on a day to day basis. However there was no micromanagement and company administrative overhead was kept to a minimum so you could just concentrate on your work.

    Cons

Sometimes support could be better to the field.

    Pros

The only real "Pro" is the people you work with

    Cons

Pay scale, No raises, No bonuses, lack of communication, no upward mobility, strange non-compete agreements.

I worked at Allied Technology Group full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

My Project Manager was really great. He was there when I needed assistance and at the same time was not overbearing, allowing me to be autonomous. The company has great benefits that start very soon after hiring. No planned delays like some companies, maybe thirty days to allow new employee processing to catch up.

    Cons

I just wish it were bigger. I got laid off because a contract value got smaller. There was no where else in the company to put me. I can not blame the company, I knew that when I accepted the contractor job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you are doing. Hopefully, ATG will grow and I would be really happy to continue my employment with ATG when something becomes available.

I have been working at Allied Technology Group

    Pros

It's a very employee centric organization. While the company does worry about it's bottom line you get the feeling that "they've got your back" if something happens that the customer doesn't like but is outside of your control.
If you've got the time ATG has a great educational benefits package, and as long as you meet the requirements (which are pretty easy to wordsmith you way into) they'll approve it. They're also very good about letting you take leave when you need it on short notice and very supportive of you if a member of your family passes on.
Partnering with it's "brother company" GloTech both owners Matt, and Mark Lee are very personable and will take the time to get to know you if you ask. The new President also seems to have some very good ideas moving forward.

    Cons

Sometimes the flow of information from corporate to the employees can be a little slow but they're working on improving that.
Being that ATG is by its nature a small company is not very often the Prime on any contract but they tend to hold the majority of the positions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some advice to the leadership that I could give is to be more direct with your employees and try to not be distant. We appreciate directness and collegiality. And when major events happen that shake up and shift the structure of your teams be sure to separate out the best and brightest to hold on to. Don't just go by the numbers or a Last in-First out method. Shake off the dead weight and move forward from there.
